Legendary bandit Max Cruz is forced to work for the CIA after they frame him. Now a Mexican crimelord has stolen classified intelligence data, and Max must steal it back. While undercover in the Yucatan jungle, he finds himself immersed in the dangerous world of gangsters and thugs. The beautiful CIA agent sent to watch over him isn't exactly trustworthy, either. Pretty soon Max realizes that escaping with his life may be the best he can do, if he can even do that.
