Buzz focuses on the colorful life of A.I. 'Buzz' Bezzerides, who was born in 1908 in Samsun on the Black Sea to Greek/Armenian parents and raised in Fresno, where he was friends with William Saroyan, who would go on to be a famous writer. Bezzerides, alive and well today at 98, made his mark as a writer of such screenplays as They Drive by Night, Thieves' Highway, On Dangerous Ground and Kiss Me Deadly.
