Calendar Girls - Julie Walters Interview

Posted on: November 11, 2003 | Views: 137 | Comment

Julie Walters talks about creating her character for the film Calendar Girls.

Based on the true story of the ladies at the Women's Institute in the U.K., a homemaking club that would make Martha Stewart proud. Monies collected from the sale of their annual calendar go to charity. To up the ante, the ladies decided to feature discreet, nude photos of themselves behind the jars of jam and sheets of pressed flowers. Their daring garnered them international acclaim--and a boatload of bucks for cancer research.
