Lisa the therapist (Meryl Streep) is about to have a breakdown while listening to her client, Rafi (Uma Thurman), launch in to detail about Rafi's sex life with Lisa's own son, Dave.
Rafi is a recent 37-year-old divorcee who gets swept off her feet by a much younger man, Dave. He is 23, and a talented painter whose mother just happens to be Rafi's therapist. Things start to go horribly wrong when Lisa the therapist realizes Rafi is talking about her son's sexual prowess.
