Great Movie Car Chases - Gone in 60 Seconds (1974)

Posted on: February 23, 2007 | Views: 1,860 | Comment

Sharing a similar plot with the 2000 film, the 1974 Gone in 60 Seconds revolved around a 1973 Mustang Mach 1 Eleanor that couldn't be stolen. The film has become famous for having the longest car chase scene in history, 40 minutes. Within that time 93 cars were destroyed. Both cars featured a Jump at the end by Eleanor. This one was for real however.

The movie was produced, funded, directed, written and by H.B. Halicki who also starred in it.
