A pharmaceuticals giant (accidentally?) released a potent biotoxin that turned the residents of Raccoon City into zombies -- with a taste for human flesh, of course. You play one of the few untouched civilians battling to find signs of life in the city and get out before the feds firebomb the town to save the rest of us.
