Winner of Round Nine of the Digital Catapult video competition, this animated short by William Richard uses musical notation and starkly beautiful black-'n'-white images to bring a hard driving rendition of Duke Ellington's "Don't Mean A Thing (If It Ain't Got That Swing)" to life. The song features the pairing of bebop legends Dizzy Gillespie and Stan Getz and can be found on Volume 25 of the Verve Jazz Masters series.
