Costa Rica Flower Attack

While its blooms may be beautiful, the water hyacinth is a menacing weed that threatens the fragile ecosystems of Costa Rica's freshwater lakes, ponds and rivers. If uncontrolled, the plants can take over entire bodies of water and suffocate other plant and animal species living there.
