When remote oil rigs' productivity falls too low, it's the job of Captain Towns to fly out there with a cargo plane, shut it down and bring everybody back to civilization. During one such flight back to civilization, his plane--loaded with pissed off ex-employees--goes down in a sandstorm in the Gobi Desert. They must fly out soon to survive, so they put their heads together to re-create the plane from the parts scattered in the sand. A remake of the 1954 film with Jimmy Stewart.
