A man born with dwarfism (Peter Dinklage) follows his lifelong obsession with the American railroad to a job as a station agent in a small town in New Jersey. He soon discovers a station agent's isn't the private, quiet life he had envisioned when he becomes entangled with a local artist (Patricia Clarkson) and her hot-blooded would-be suitor (Bobby Cannavale).
