Rev. Fred Phelps is the founder of Westboro Baptist Church in Kansas who also manages GodHatesAmerica.com. The Reverend contends that U.S. soldiers are killed in Iraq as vengeance from God for protecting a country that harbors gays. Thus, God directs Phelps to heckle family members of fallen soldiers at their funerals with taunts such as "God hates fags" and "God hates you."
