Posted on: June 6, 2001 | Views: | Comment
The Cucumber Chronicles is a collection of 10 short films, each of which is based on a word or phrase from a personal ad. Each film expounds on some aspect of gay culture or modern sexuality using narration and Monty Python-esqe animation. The concepts explored in each film are based on the actual dating experiences of the filmmaker. The Cucumber Chronicles was written, performed, animated and edited by Bryan McHenry. So far, The Cucumber Chronicles has played in the Twinkie Museum, the gay and lesbian festival in Memphis, Tennessee, in Undershorts, an experimental short-film festival in Chicago and at the Austin Gay and Lesbian International Film Festival. It was also an Audience Choice Award Winner in the Planet Out International, Internet Film Festival.
