March 30, 2007__Recorded at dusk last night before the female flew in at 7:37 pm to incubate their two eggs. Sadly, one of the eggs was later broken. Our first web cam view this morning was of the female with the broken egg, trying to clean out her nest. Seven eggs are being artificially incubated and monitered by the Institute for Wildlife Studies. To learn more about this project, visit www.iws.org -- eggs are due to hatch anytime. Four additional eggs on Santa Catalina Island, CA, that remain with two pair of wild eagles haven't yet broken.
