Evelyn - Cut My Hair

Clip from the feature in which Evelyn (Sophie Vavasseur) debates the logic with a nun at a Catholic orphanage about cutting Evelyn's hair just like the other girls--a rhetorical game to make the nun admit that the orphanage where Evelyn lives has not acceded to her father's wishes in another matter.
Film relates the true story of a single father (Pierce Brosnan) in 1950s Ireland who challenges the law in order to keep his family together. The Church and the court system take his children away and put them in orphanage because their mother has deserted them. He and his friends band together to wage a landmark case before the Irish Supreme Court to have the law that allowed this travesty to occur stricken from the books.
