Buddy (Will Ferrell) is upset so Papa Elf (Bob Newhart) sits him down for a talk.
Will Ferrell plays a human raised at the North Pole as an elf. He's just too big and clumsy though, so when he becomes a man, he travels to New York City to find his father and live with humans. But NYC is a sad and scary place where the snowmen don't talk and nobody believes in Santa. They don't even know what Christmas is about. What's a man with the heart of an elf to do?
