Alexander Volkov got past Mighty Mo with a flawless headkick, Adam McDonough's left hook was enough to stop Nathan Coy, and Brandon Halsey outlasted Joe Pacheco. In the Vladimir Matyushenko's retirement fight, he fell prey to a North South Choke by Joey Beltran, and Blagoi Ivanov's amazing comeback continued as he got the submission win over Lavar Johnson.
Vitaly Minakov outlasted Cheick Kongo to retain the Heavyweight World Championship. Plus Herman Terrado and Justin Baesman battled to a wild draw, Kelly Anundson submitted his former training partner Volkan Oezdemir, and Mikkel Parlo outpointed Johnny Cisneros in a catchweight bout.
Alexander Shlemenko retained the Middleweight World Championship with a second round submission of Brennan Ward. Des Green and Daniel Weichel advanced to the featherweight tournament finals with decision wins, and Brett Cooper came back from early trouble to TKO Kendall Grove and advance to the middleweight finals.

Bellator MMA returned to the Wichita Kansas area to determine the Light Heavyweight World Champion and to get the Lightweight tournament underway. It started with Derek Campos used his speed to outpoint Tim Welch. Marcin Held showed the fans why he’s renowned for his leglocks, getting Rodrigo Cavalhiero with a toehold. Derek Anderson caught Brandon Girts with a knee for a KO finish, and Patricky Pitbull quieted the crowd with a TKO win over hometown boy David Rickels. In the main event, Emanuel Newton controlled the pace over five rounds and walked away with the Light Heavyweight World Championship.

Bellator MMA gave the Chicagoland faithful an early candidate for fight of the year in the main event. First, Adam McDonough came back from early trouble to win a battle of positioning against Jesse Juarez. Sam Oropeza’s right found Cristiano Souza’s chin to end that bout early. Andrey Koreshkov landed a high kick that was the beginning of the end for Nah-Shon Burrell’s night, and Nathan Coy was able to use his boxing to handle the challenge of Paul Bradley. The night closed out with an instant classic rematch for the Featherweight World Title, Pat Curran regaining the title with 14 seconds left on the clock.
