The FBI offers a three-picture deal to movie producer/spy Alec Baldwin.
A young filmmaker (Matthew Broderick) hooks up with a mysterious producer (Alec Baldwin) who agrees to fund his film--if he films it in Providence, Rhode Island. He comes to find out that his producer is spying on the Mob and using the production as a cover.
