Planes fly overhead in the desert during a take, Johnny Depp hangs around looking dubious while he smokes cigarettes, director Terry Gilliam patiently tries to hold it together while finding out what's wrong, and the star--the great French actor Jean Rochefort--sits in a chair in the middle of nowhere while the camera operator tries to figure out what's happening. What a shame the film never was completed, but at least this documentary exists.

Terry Gilliam had had a Don Quixote project bouncing around in his brain for years. Finally, someone got behind the project. But somewhere in the netherworld between fantasy and reality, Mother Nature refused to smile on the production, turning it into a huge fiasco that never got completed. This documentary shows what happened.
