Shaun and Ed discover a young woman in their back yard whom they believe to be drunk out of her mind. The woman jumps Shaun and while he's fighting her off, Ed goes into the house, grabs a camera, and takes a photo-op snap of them.

British slackers Shaun (Simon Pegg) and his best buddy, Ed (Nick Frost), turn out to be North London's last best hope when zombies invade the city. Shaun, staff manager at the appliance store he works, is ignored by his employees; Liz, his main squeeze, is sick of meeting at the Winchester Arms pub every night along with Shaun's best mate, Ed. And if all that weren't enough, Zombies invade the streets, the shops, talk shows, and whole of London. They are still munching humans, and they still their brains bashed out. What to do? What to do?
