A reporter (Angelina Jolie) interviews a psychic homeless man (Tony Shalhoub) for the evening's football scores. Instead, he tells her that her death is imminent and that her life has had no meaning. She jumps into high gear, trying to set her life right -- with the help of estranged ex-beau (Ed Burns) -- before she loses it.
