North Carolina Pig Farm Investigation with James Cromwell

Posted on: April 16, 2002 | Views: 180 | Comment

James Cromwell, star of Babe and L.A. Confidential, is also a vegetarian and animal-rights activist. In 2000, he narrated this PETA investigation of a pig-breeding facility called Belcross Farm in North Carolina. The investigation resulted in the first-ever felony indictments for cruelty to animals on a factory farm in the U.S., issued against three workers who appear in this video. In this case, all three workers were convicted for their parts in the beating and bludgeoning of pigs, including the skinning of a sow who was still fully conscious. James Cromwell urges us to help stop cruelty on factory farms by adopting a vegetarian diet.
