A very funny and knowledgeable tribute to the comedy silent shorts of yesteryear, their tropes like pie fights and cops, and their stars (especially Laurel and Hardy) -- juxtaposed with some realities of today (some cold and harsh). The musical score is perfect. Recommended.

Frankz and Beans, two lovable ne'er-do-wells, don't know where their next meal is coming from. After run-ins with modern-day lesbians and gang-bangers, they decide to open up their own version of a fertility clinic. What follows is best described as the equivalent of the classic pie fight. In the grand tradition of my last short, Sunday's Game, Frankz & Beans is the latest addition to a brand-new genre of cinema—the Squirm-Film.
