A lowly thug (Ben Affleck) is assigned to kidnap a prosecutor's loved one to keep his mobster boss out of prison. But keeping his hostage a secret proves to be more difficult than he thought, and Ricki (Jennifer Lopez), a gorgeous and unavailable female gangster, is sent on the assist. When he begins developing feelings for his partner, things get complicated.
