Scribbling lyrical fragments on a plexiglass screen all up in the camera's face, Bright Eyes honcho Conor Oberst looks like a dotbomb lord of the whiteboard sketching out another new business plan. Musically, it's a dark ballad seasoned with slide guitars, subtly screaming samples and odd vocal distortions. He's an emotional entrepreneur living in his own empty office space.
