Host

Adam Carolla is a versatile entertainer and entrepreneur. Over the past 20 years as a television and radio personality, a New York Times best-selling author, the creator of the Carolla Digital network and host of the Guinness-World-Record-holding podcast The Adam Carolla Show, he has shared his unique wit and dynamic brand of entertainment with the public.

In February of 2009, Carolla started The Adam Carolla Podcast from his home office, using only his computer and a microphone. A year later, the podcast was named iTunes #1 Podcast Of 2009. The show now receives more than five million downloads a month and has been featured in Fast Company, Entrepreneur, The New York Times, and The Los Angeles Times.

In 2010, following the immediate success of The Adam Carolla Podcast, Adam decided to launch an online network of podcasts called, Carolla Digital. To this day, Carolla Digital produces many of iTunes’ top podcast programming including The Adam and Dr. Drew Show, The Dr. Drew Podcast, Penn’s Sunday School with Penn Jillette, This Week with Larry Miller, Car Cast, Ace on the House, For Crying Out Loud and Alison Rosen is Your New Best Friend.

Adam is also well known for his work in television. In 1999, Adam, along with friends and collaborators Jimmy Kimmel and Daniel Kellison, formed the production company Jackhole Industries. The three went on to create and star in two hit Comedy Central shows: The Man Show (1999-2003) and Crank Yankers (2002-2007), under the Jackhole Industries banner. In addition, Carolla has appeared as a contestant on ABC’s hit reality series Dancing with the Stars and NBC’s Celebrity Apprentice. He hosted Comedy Central's Too Late with Adam Carolla and starred in TLC's The Adam Carolla Project, which chronicled the renovation and subsequent sale of his boyhood home. Carolla is currently in production as the host on a new series for Spike entitled To Catch A Contractor, which is scheduled to premier later this year.

Carolla is also a New York Times best-selling author. His first book, In 50 Years We’ll All Be Chicks (Random House) became a New York Times Best Seller for ten straight weeks, while the audio version of the book debuted in the #1 position on iTunes. Adam’s second book, Not Taco Bell Material (Random House) was released in June 2012 and also climbed its way to the top of the New York Times Best Seller list. Carolla’s e-book, Rich Man Poor Man, is available on iTunes and other digital distributors and his latest book, President Me: The America That’s In My Head (published by Harper Collins) is available May 13, 2014.

In 1994, following brief stints as a skilled carpenter and boxing trainer, Adam began his career in radio. He answered an ad seeking a boxing instructor to train then radio personality Jimmy Kimmel, of KROQ's Kevin and Bean Show, which eventually led to Carolla joining the show's repertoire of characters as Mr. Birchum, a wood shop teacher. Carolla's success on KROQ led to a hosting job on the nationally syndicated radio program Loveline with Dr. Drew Pinsky. MTV later developed the program into a television version of the show, co-hosted by Carolla and Pinsky. The show ran for five seasons from 1996-2000. During that time, the duo also authored The Dr. Drew and Adam Book: A Survival Guide to Life and Love.

Adam’s success as a host on Loveline lead to his own morning drive radio show, aptly titled The Adam Carolla Show, which aired on CBS radio stations in Los Angeles, Portland and Las Vegas from 2005-2009. The four-hour weekday morning program was also syndicated in several major markets around the country, including Seattle, Sacramento and Fresno.

Adam is also a well-known automobile enthusiast with an eclectic collection of racing and exotic vehicles. In 2012, he was honored by the Peterson Automotive Museum as their “Automotive Enthusiast of the Year.” As a way to share his automotive passion with his fans, Carolla is producing a film documenting the life and career of actor and racecar driver Paul Newman.

In 2012, Adam released Mangria, his signature wine spirit with a kick, which is a combination of red wine and the smooth sweet flavors and aromas of plum, cherry, blackberry, orange and citrus. Mangria can be found on Buymangria.com

A native of Southern California, Carolla currently resides in Los Angeles with his wife, Lynette, and their twins.
