Eric “The American Soldier” Prindle entered mixed martial arts in 2008 with plenty of boxing experience. During his years serving in the Army, Prindle was a five-time All Army Boxing Champion. After taking some time off from combat sports once his military career was finished, “The American Solider” made the transition to MMA. Since dropping his first fight, Prindle has not tasted defeat.
The Arizona native made his Bellator debut in April of 2011 and finished Josh Burns by TKO, which earned him an invitation to the Season 5 Heavyweight Tournament. There Prindle defeated TUF alumnus Abe Wagner and knocked out previously unbeaten Ron Sparks in less than a minute. In the finals, an unfortunate groin kick from Thiago Santos ended things prematurely. In the rematch four months later, Santos was unable to make weight and was disqualified from the tournament. Prindle was crowned the tournament champion, but fell short in his world title bid against Cole Konrad at Bellator 70.
