Franky Marshall is a veteran of the hospitality industry, and has become a fixture on the New York cocktail scene since she opened at Julie Reiner’s renowned Cobble Hill Clover Club in 2008.
Marshall was a three-time apprentice at Tales of the Cocktail from 2009 to 2011. She has created cocktails for Tasting Rooms, and was one of the mixologists chosen to participate in the Tales Spirited Dinner Series, which features original cocktails paired with tasting menus at some of New Orleans' most celebrated restaurants, in 2010 and 2011.
She is a graduate of Bar Smarts; holds an Intermediate Certificate with Distinction from the Wine and Spirits Education Trust (WSET); was a stagiaire at mad scientist Tony Conigliaro’s 69 Colebrooke Row in London. She is a member of the New York chapters of the USBG and Lupec. She was selected by Beverage Media as one of the "Top 10 Mixologist to Watch 2009", and she and her original cocktails have been featured in publications such as Gary Regan's Annual Manual for Bartenders, 2011; Time Out NY; New York Magazine; The Village Voice; and The Daily Beast.
An avid traveler and unrepentant gourmande, Marshall has studied French in France; Spanish in Spain; sipped raki in Turkey; barrel-dipped in Kentucky; toured bodegas in Argentina; mulled over mint tea in Marrakech; cocktail-crawled on the continent; and of course, has eaten many great meals along the way.She is always looking forward to her next adventure and to finding inspiration wherever she goes.
