Here are a few suggestions.....(I know some of these have been posted by other users)
People are in a zoo and a bunch of dangerous animals escape (alligators, lions, elephants, snakes, etc...)
Riot/ Protest on the street
Volcanic eruption
Tsunami
Tornado (There should be two separate parts similar to that in the Home Invasion episode. One with an F2 and one with an F5)
Lost in a Jungle (Amazon or somewhere in Africa would be best)
Stranded on a deserted island (ship wreck or plane crash)
Sinking Cruise Ship
Stranded in the desert
Train Robbery/ Hijacking
Bank Robbery
School Shooting

I have to suggest my ideas for the show:
*emp/anything that gets the power grid offline in a large area for a long time.
*school shooting
*tornado
*a special full of several small, everyday things to survive
*tsunami
*riot
*other 'stranded' episodes
*nuclear winter/ice age
*complete breakdown of government, order, and society. basically a complete state of anarchy.
*other hijackings
*volcanic eruption (a major one)
*and a foreign invasion might be good.

Dear Cade, Surviving Disaster crew, and Spike executives (I understand that most likely none of which will come into contact with this message, but hell, it's worth a shot.)
Before anything else I want to state that Surviving Disaster was among my favorite Spike series'. It is possible that I may never find myself face to face with a bear or god forbid an angry meth-head in my house. However it is more than likely that in some way or another I will use the skills and basic knowledge that I have obtained from watching this show. Even if I don't, there is one major thing that sets 'Surviving Disaster' apart from all other survival type shows. (No, it's not the pee.) It's the fact that regardless of what the scenario is, I find this show very entertaining regardless. It's not just a list of things that I should probably know how to do if I were ever in a bad scenario, like many are. It's not showing scenarios that only a handful of people could ever find themselves in, like many do. It isn't showing things that the average man or woman couldn't do, and it isn't fear-mongering to boost ratings. Surviving Disaster has just the right mixture of entertainment, re-enactment, and information that I cannot get enough of it.
Other scenario's that I wish could be addressed include being kidnapped in a foreign country, some kind of foreign invasion, and something relating to the numerous amounts of gangs on the street. Nevertheless I am writing because I would like another season to be made of this fine show. I love it. Please continue making it, as it seems (based on the lack of news about the show on the main site) that production has stopped. I believe that Surviving Disaster will boost Spike's ratings and continue to garner valued fans for your network, as well as helping keep the ones you gained from this show specifically.

where is cade???? what is he doing??? hanging at the beach or something??? idk where all the episodes are but i'm guessing that they are making episodes for a season 2....anyway i think there is going to possibly be a tornato episode cuse if you look on the video it shows a house being carried by a tornato or something....but if i ever was in a mall attack and couldn't get out i would use the skills cade tought us only to my extent. but it is possivle for a non trained human to take down terrorests. just like Kevin in Home Alone 2 took down the 2 Criminals!! anyways great show.....make more episodes geez its been 4 weeks at least put one on already...no offence.

I love this show - forget the Zombies - get into real situations that are plausible. Re-run and re-run. I have missed several and did not catch them the second go around. There are so many scenarios that can be run - and it is important to think outside the box. A children's - what would you do special and as pointed out - a woman's how to defend yourself episode. This is not about another possible 911 - until you are face to face with a situation - you do not know how you will react nor even how TO react. This is a great premise - Keep it Going.

Cade,
Excellent series. While we all hope most or none of these scenarios will ever have to be endured it's all great information that can be applied in a variety of situations.
I am wondering about relieving one's self. You talk about being holed-up during a nuclear attack or during a pandemic. But what if you gotta go?? Are you expected to just waltz into the bathroom and do your thing when the fallout is just beyond the outer wall of the bathroom or during a pandemic when, in either case, water service is not available. Seriously, sanitation is a key issue when these events occur. What are the options? Given the level of detail and excellent information you are providing you MUST discuss this option in all these scenarios.
Also, a couple of suggestions - a multi-episode series on general survival...like being reduced to living in the woods far away from a city after nuclear/chemical attack or a pandemic...How to survive in the woods - making fire, purifying water, hunting, fishing, making shelter, staying warm in inclement weather during extended periods of time. And, last but not least, your shows are directed mostly towards individual survival. What about dealing with a family/children? There's an added, highly realistic challenge.
Cade, keep up the great work! You have done something few have in these modern times - forced many to face the potential reality of a modern day disaster.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience. These days so much is provided for us all but you have taught us that we may likely someday have to rise up again like so many past American brothers and not only survive very hard times but fight for ourselves, our families, our friends and most importantly our freedom. You are giving us the tools to do that.

I think that this is a great show and has given everyone some very valuable info they could use in these situations. I would like to see a show about surviving an abduction or a attempted rape or attack. I think this would be great info for us women. Thanks Keep up the good work.

Before the premier of the show I have looked forward to every episode, and recently I have noticed a couple of changes to the show and on the website...
ONE: Now the show starts an hour later.
TWO: Just about every other show, it doesn't come one, something else does
THREE: WTF!!!
IS THIS THE BEGINNING OF THE END?
This is my favorite show... EVER!

Great show just about the same stuff i was trained in the Marines and some new things. Thanks for all the information we will need to know in case the sh@t hits the fan! Oh and in my opinion everyone should have a FIGHTING chance in a combat engagement at a mall or wherever, operator or not dont lay there and wait to get stomped out....just saying. To the posters who say the situations or advice are unrealistic: riiiight. Ask those who got hit by Katrina. Or those who got caught in the San Fran earthquake of 1989. I'd be willing to bet those poor bastards would have given their left one for some of the advice presented on Surviving Disaster.
Look, they can't cover every possible variation in every show; they present the ones most likely to serve the greater number. If you have to rappel down a building, well, most of us in reasonable physical shape could do it as presented in the Fire episode. What happens if you have a 450-lb co-worker trapped with you? Hell, I don't know (but I'm sure not lowering him down).
The real takeaway from this show every week is simply this: stay calm, use your head, and you at least have a chance. Odds are none of us will ever be in any of these situations, but it's better to have knowledge and never use it that need it and not have it.2 replies Reply Flag comment as inappropriate

I just have one question about the mall shooting episode: before you got the guys gun, you ran into an exit that was chained off. couldn't you just go back there once you get the gun and shoot the chain off? unless of course it were a bomb, but it was just chains that I would think could easily be shot off with a friggin AK

You need to do a show where winter conditions are at there worst. In Chicago can get as low as 30 below. Snow 24 inches of snow in 24 hours. Ice storms, No power , phones dead , cars frozen leaving you with no trasportation, even frozen natural gas pipes. We can handle 100 degree temps. Winter can test your skills as well. I'm a Amature Radio Operator, It is easy to get a Techncian Class Licence and with an inexpensive 2 meter hand held you can cover not only emergency communication but you can program in emergency frequencies. If HAM radio is not to one's likeing a Frequency Scanner also can keep you in-tune to what is going on in your community. Good show thank you for your insites.

i love this show! i just wish that sometimes,especially when it's show when it's an entire city in crisis, you would include children. Ah jeez this show is intense.
One thing I didn't like, however, was the section where they used the swing-set to repel down to rescue the sink-hole victim. They should have shown some alternatives to a swing-set, or other ways of rescuing the stranded person, because finding a swing-set, especially one that's already been uprooted, seems entirely based on luck, especially given how they said how sink-holes are common during earthquakes.

Great host. Cade was also on the show "combat missions" from the early 00's. You can see it on youtube. Cade teaches staying calm, thinking clearly and always be making a plan on Surviving Disaster. These are the most important things you can do in any survival situation. My suggestions for future episodes are; -Riots or civil disturbances, -Outbreak and Quarantine, -Kidnapping in a foreign country, -Mass power blackout.

Thank you, I also love this show. Finally a 'Reality Show' that is meant to make people think instead of turning their brains into mush. Can't wait to see more episodes!!! Of course each scenario is not absolutely perfect but it sure makes you think about what could possibly happen. Too many of us have the -oh it won't happen to me-mentality.
