Hall of Famer Michael Irvin is on a quest to give one football hopeful a shot at making the Dallas Cowboys roster! The 10-episode series shot at the famed Cotton Bowl in Dallas includes twelve football amateurs (6 wide receivers and 6 defensive backs) who must endure rigorous competition overseen by Irvin. The legendary receiver will serve as Host/Executive Producer, keeping a watchful eye over the contestants and helping to mold them into champions. Former All-Pro Cowboy Bill Bates and former coach Joe Avezzano serve as coaches and additional former players, coaches, media personalities will guest star. Check out 4th and Long on Facebook

Hey guys, I have to say the show was pretty hot to watch. Who ever chose the guy (Stephen) to leave was right on the money. He gave up to soon. Watching the football film showed that, but I have to say there are only four (4) guys that could possibly, maybe win this awesome chance to play with the Cowboys. Good Luck :-)

Zomfg!! I LOVE spike! I love football! This is only the second reality show I have fallen in with. I won't tell you who your competition is, you wouldn't approve anyway. I will say this, on the "other" show, first episode, my fav ended up winning it(do me proud Moses!)! I can't wait to see who makes the final cut... I hope its MY guy! I will say this, after watching the first episode, whom ever makes it, will DEFINITELY deserve it. Good luck to all the guys, and may the best man win. Dig deep fellas, this one's gonna be BRUTAL!! SS Andrews, and better luck next time. I'm pulling for Moses! Go boy go, you do this for your family!!!

I'm pullin for Andrew Hawkins. I'm a Western PA guy too, and he can flat out play. I think the worries about his height go out the door when you see him play. He was shakin dbs out there. He's got lights out speed and quickness, and he's versatile. Best of luck Hawk!!!

What are you talking about that they picked the wrong guy? That kid not only is terrible and didnt belong in the first place, he is a whiner!! Was he serious making those excuses that he was gettin held and stuff? That alone will get you cut. As soon as he made that comment about getting head slapped on hte field I knew he was the one that was gonna get cut. When you're at a tryout you shut your mouth and play your butt off. I played college ball and I coach now, and I dont want excuse makers on my side of the ball. I don't know how he even made this show. I was a decent small college football player at a school that is always ranked in the top 5-10 and I wouldn't have thought to try out for this because Im just not good enough to play for the Cowboys, but I was a better player than Stephen Andrews!!! He is terrible. He's a joke. He claims he is fast, but speed doesnt make you a football player. It's great to have speed if you are a player, but I knew he was terrible when he started makin the excuses. "WR's dont know the techniques so they are just holding and grabbing facemasks." HAHAHA!!! Just shut up and get it done, son. I bet he wasn't much of a player in college either, if he is worried about penalties more than gettin the work done. Steve, dont worry about someone holding you, just worry about not getting run over by a WR. I know I'm harpin on this kid, but I hate these sorry excuse makers.

This show is great. When the commercial for the show came out I knew it would be something I liked but was a little skeptical that it would be legitimate. Wow, this show is good. It reminds me of the intensity of playing football. I haven't seen a show that communicated this so well.

Talk all you want about MI. Everyone makes mistakes that they are not proud of. MI has turned his life around. He's still one of the best. Did you see the "U" come out in him during the 4th qt drills? Teach 'em MI, teach 'em. They have to be hungry if they want this. Show them how the Miami Hurricanes and South Florida football do it.

I won't be watching this show anymore. This is the second show with the same two guys to be eliminated and what does Michael do? He eliminated the guy that was least physical. Deion Sanders was one of the greatest players but didn't like getting hit but you can never change someone who is lazy. ONCE LAZY, ALWAYS LAZY. You should have picked the white boy.

I believe they should have cut Jones instead of McGann. The criticism aganist McGann is that he was knocked back by a little guy. The little guy is one of the best out there, hell of an athlete. And one shot shouldn't be a deal breaker. McGann also showed motivation by getting up and driving and he never lost the final ball as Gonzales had. Finally, Jones admits he's a F'Up. But hey give him a break, who hasn't screwed up a career at Tennessee and transferred to Louisville because of off the field shenanigans. Read between the lines Mr.Irving the pot just means that was the last incident that broke the camels back. So, mature a bit kid and come back and try out for the Cowboys, here's another chance. So how committed is he to that chance? He confirms the coaches observation that he is lazy. A chance of a life time and the coaches point out that you are lazy! "I'll do better coach." When, dude!? What other motivation could possibly wake this guy up!? He should have been out of the door, instead.

with all due respect to Mr. Irvin, the job of a wide reciever is to take the ball to the end zone NOT, I REPEAT NOT, go head to head with every D back on the field and risk losing the ball, or losing yardage. on the first episode you had a WR that came up lame and didnt even finish the drills... then u had another that was described as lazy... and on this episode you had 2 guys that were given second chances AGAIN. and I find it really interesting that so far only the white guys have been cut and they showed more ability than the two black dudes that were kept on even after having been in the war room TWICE.

I remember a few years ago on the Best Damn Sports Show Period he was talking with the other hosts about Jason Seahorn and how he was really surprised how strong he was for a "white" boy when he locked up with him on the field. I loved when Novacek told Irvin that he didn't care how strong the one dude for TN/L'Ville was because he was lazy! I'll still watch the show because I want the undersized dude (DB) to get it. He is the REAL beast!

first of all im white and even i can see both the pussy andrews and another pussy mcgann both sucked ass. the show is amazing and im a huge cowboy fan. i would like to say that if u do ure homework despite what same haters think jesse holly is going to be an impact in the league after this show and so will eric jackson both are conferance award winners as holly was 2nd team all acc and projected to go in 3rd round of draft opted not to declare to follow basketball now hes back in football and i guarantee he makes the top 4 wr after he wins the show eric jackson was a db of the year in big 12 and he will be runner up but sign elsewhere.

My name is Ryan Prinz and I'm 30 years old. I have been playing football in a mens amateur football league for over ten years. I've played in the Arizona Football League (AzFL) and the Copperstate Football League (CFL). I am still currently in the CFL for the Glendale Rangers. What my problem is here is that you cut another player (white again) when clearly he was not the one to be cut. First episode I can't argue but the second? Irvin talked about heart, heart is not being lazy!! Laziness is choice, choice is heart. So a guy that is lazy, in the war room both episodes, goes on while McGann, who wasn't PHYSICAL enough gets cut??? I don't care about past awards or past whatever. This is about NOW!! And if you get called in the war room twice and were told twice that you were lazy?! Come on, its pretty obvious. Since I have been watching Irvin do TV time he has been biased. Like Deon, why take Pacman Jones under your wing when there are better athletes and better heads in the league then him. (Watch his Pros vs Joes episode) The worst guy did not get cut in this episode no matter what the color!! Again, its about now, not what the individual did back in the day. I don't want to think Mike has deluded himself into believing all black receivers are better than the white, hispanic, etc. receivers. But Jimmy Johnson would have had Jones gone in the second round. When a coach says he will cut someone if they don't perform and then doesn't, it hurts the whole team and the coach's credibility. Swan said it right,"I don,t know what these guys were thinking, not coming here in shape. Jones and Gonzalez,= no heart and not in shape. Holly, Swan, Gamble, Moses= heart and determination and in shape. McGann might have been a good player but he was too quiet but he was right, he was strong in the fumble drill. Needs of the Cowboys may dictate the winner: Holly or Swan. Holly 70% Swan 30%.

Where is all this racist mumbo jumbo comming from, M.I chose to eliminate those two players because their althletic potential was and is at its peak and hes seen all that he needs to see from them, i dont blame him for eliminating them.. so what those two where white big whoop.. at the end of the day an athelete is just an entertainer and the best atheletes are the atheletes that are fun to watch those two were just coasting through and blending in with competition and not standing out at all and thats why they got eliminated... We all know who mike wants for the Cowboys but it has nothing to do with race.. He just thinks he sees potential in jones and he may be right

I have 2 disagree with the judges decisions this week. Evidently Its a reason 2 of the same guys from last week ended back up in the eliminating room. I think Jones should have went home. you cant teach a person how not to be LAZY. And being a chronic weed smoker myself, I must admit I'm one Lazy dude. Judges I understand that Jones has great NFL size & toughness,but laziness is an uncurabe disease. So lets get this BIG-STRONG-POT SMOKING dude out of the way and focus on finding a real NFL athlete. besides Mike u said ur self. "THE GUY LACKS HEART"! plus ENERGY................
