being Hmong, i'm a little bias with this, but i would also love to see a Hmong guerrilla soldier on show. the Hmong were a nomadic people in the hills of Southeast Asia who adjusted quickly to modern technology and firearms.
they were recruited by the CIA during the Vietnam War to fight in the Secret War as a Special Guerrilla Unit. led by General Vang Pao, the Hmong were responsible for shutting down the Ho Chi Minh Trail (which provided supplies for the Vietcong from the north to the south), defended radar sites, rescued down US pilots, and even were combat pilots. Lee Lue, a Hmong Pilot, didn't even know how to drive a jeep before his training, but he would be end up flying over 5000 combat missions (most of any pilot in history) before he was shot down.

i would love to see the show have the Alamo Scouts on the show.
they were the elite US commandos of the Pacific Theater during WWII. they had over a 100 missions behind enemy lines and were also responsible for the liberating of 197 POW's at Cabanatuan prison camp. they were disbanded in 1945. along with that, they're the predecessors the green berets, and some of the best special forces of WWII

Also anyone who wants Joan of Arc vs a man even though she did kill men in real life she should fit a woman it makes more sense I suggest Anne Dieu-Le-Veut a 17th century female Pirate.

Hey!
First I must say, I really like the show, but there is one single problem that bothers me: a "duel" between different "warriors" should involve respect and honouring the skills of your opponent, none of that ever happens by the participating parties! They throw cheap macho-styled taunts at each other and show no dignity whatsoever and I personally thinks thats a shame. No friendly sportmanship, just childish "go away I'm better than you!-stuff. That's a shame for an otherwise highly interesting program! Cheerio from Germany

I've suggested a match between the Earp Brothers and Doc Holliday - the lawmen from O.K. Corral, the most famed gunfight of the American West - against the Ned Kelly Gang - the most famed outlaws in Australia. A 4-on-4 Squad Battle. I certainly think it would be interesting putting the Kelly Gang's armor up against American firepower.

As an Aussie, I think we need to see a couple of Australian warriors this season. Namely, Ned Kelly's Gang.
Match the Kelly Gang against any other late 1800s outlaws and I'll bet they've got a good chance of winning: Ned and Dan Kelly, Joe Burne and Steve Hart stood up against the government and led a string of robberies and were finally captured in a hotel shoot-out in Glenrowan, in which they wore home-made armour that stood up quite well to the weapons of the time. They have obtained folk-hero status in Australia equal to that ofRobin Hood.
And if the Kelly Gang don't get in, go for wither the Aboriginal Australians or our army, the ANZACs.

Ideas for the new season!
- Janissaries from the Ottoman empire, they were the heavy shock troops. They had firearms in the form of hand canons, an abus guns, they were skilled with archery, early hand grenades, cutlass swords, their best weapons was the trench gun.
perfect leader - Suleyman the Magnificent to embody the elite fighting force.
- Conquistador, They would be wrapped in their steel plate body armor, armed with heavy swords both made in Toledo. The Spanish war factory of its time and the finest in Europe at the time! Their skills as horse back charging with a lance unmatched in the old and the new world ,They were skilled with fire arms such as the harquebus, and early canon artillery.
Perfect leader: Hernán Cortés
- Hessian with their smooth bore muskets, 3 pounder canon, their bayonet charges, the trust of the butt end of their gun.
perfect leader : Frederick the Great
- Rough Rider...armed with Springfield Model 1892-99 rifle, M1892 Carbine...Winchester Model 1895...M1895 Colt-Browning machine gun...and the Gatling gun.
Best leader: Theodore Roosevelt
Kaiserheer - German elite shock troops of World War I. Armed with potato-masher hand-grenade...short barrel K98 carbine...Maschinengewehr machine gun....he MP18 sub machine gun. small arms would be the Luger P08...special weapons Kleinflammenwerfer....introduction of chemical warfare as a concept.
- John Dillinger for his Colt 1902....his browning automatic rifle...M1903 spring field... Remington Model 11... butterfly knife...
- Audie L. Murphy supporting WW2 style weapons such as the M1 Garand or M1 Carbine...a bazooka... a Browning Automatic Rifle "BAR", M1911 pistol....KA-BAR knife or Mk 2 grenade.

Hannibal Barca, eh.....I'd recommend pitting him against Genghis Khan, if we didn't already have the Mongols last season. Due to the Claymore's anti-calvary capabilities (because elephants are the ultimate calvary) this would be a nice place for William Wallace to make another appearance......but I very much doubt DW would spring for that. Hm.....does anyone know of any other Generals who used elephants?
I like the sounds of what Mack's saying. Bloodbowl, here we come!

In many ways, I wish this was run on Discovery Channel instead of Spike, so that it would be held to Mythbuster standards. And by that, I mean 'totally willing to overkill for the ratings, but always accurate as possible when it comes to the test and its conditions'. Applied to DW, that probably means 'let the testers go nuts on unarmored ballistic bodies for the blood and gore, then test every weapon on an accurately armored ballistic body'.

Surely deadliest weapon not warrior?
Miyamoto musashi, one of the deadliest samurai of all time, defeated his opponents using a wooden sword (bokken) as he didn't want to damage his sword. So you could put me against him using the best sword, and wearing chainmail and according to this show, I'd win! BTW, the only guy who fought musashi to a draw was a monk using... a four foot wooden rod! It's the man behind the weapon more than the weapon itself!!

I would enjoy an episode where the best weapons and tactics of the warriors from Eastern and Western cultures are combined to form two rag-tag warriors that fight to the death. One half of the episode could be about the ancient hybrid warriors fighting each other and the other half could be about the modern hybrid warriors fighting each other. It would be cool to watch the tests of the best weapons from both the modern and ancient worlds. Each warrior should be armed to the teeth with the best combination of weapons. The best war tactics should be combined to form the ultimate warriors for the East and West along with the best physical abilities from various warriors. This battle will prove which hemisphere had the best warriors.

For Deadliest Warrior Crew:
To make the episodes more fair, NO SEIGE WEAPONS unless it is a 5 on 5 battle and the other warrior also has a seige weapon, and they have to be portable. Otherwise, they are useless. Several things should be added, such as martial arts, training, armor, shields, ect. These factors when added to the simulation, would provide a much more realistic outcome. Also, no weapon combos unless the other team also has one. So if there was an episode with Miyamato Musashi vs Robin Hood (Previous Suggestion), one would have Katana + Wakizashi, while the other could have something like a Shortsword and Dagger. Finally, huge time gaps, times where one weapon was tested on a pig while the other on gel, and made-up/rarely used weapons should not be used. Due to these problems, warriors such as the Centurion, Alexander, Sun Tzu, Ming Warrior, Mongol, and the Celt were not shown to their full potential. And next time, let the experts pick the weapons, after all they are the experts. Sorry for the long comment, please consider this, and good luck on season 3.

I'd like to see rematches for Attila the Hun vs. Alexander the Great and Roman Centurion vs. Rajput Warrior. It would do well to remove the controversy surrounding those matches by replacing the siege engines with more sensible weapons.
Alexander the Great's Gastraphetes and Ballista should be replaced with a Bow and his trained warhorse, Bucephalus, respectively. He *never* went into battle without that horse, and it was a weapon in its own rite.
The Roman Centurion's Scorpion should be replaced with Plumbata. As a secondary option, you might also do well to replace the Dolabra with the Scutum shield. There was some controversy surrounding its choice and the omission of the Roman shield from the final simulation.
