Lu Bu vs Robert the Bruce (both traitors, or if you prefer both switched sides more than once)
Cnut (or Canute if you prefer) vs Xerxes (both held control of multiple kingdoms)

There should be a rematch between Spetznaz and US forces. However, the Green Berets should be switched out for Delta Force or maybe the Navy SEALS because the Green Berets are more focused on training local forces than fighting.

I think they need to take into account the physiological differences in the warriors.
for example vikings would by nature not have been human. they were a cross breed between homo-erectus and homo-sapian, making them much tougher and making a pig an inaccurate analog to a viking. also to consider is that the viking would be much stronger than anyone could replicate, making their weapons more effective.

I've got one I havent seen yet on this thing. USMC Raiders Vs. SS Stormtroopers. They both fought famous battles and pioneered techniques used by modern special forces including submarine insertion. They fought at the same time and employed many special and expiremental weapons in daring raids and lightning attacks on strategic and tactical advantages. As they fought in different theaters they never faced down each other and I think its long past due to see who would win.

I am looking to make a comment that the producers will read. fact is, its an amazing program, i will watch the next season regardless, just based on its exclusive focus on weapons, but adding the parameter of training, and/or/if conditioning or tactics would enhance it. ie. i am ex military, and i have fought in Afghanistan. The IRA vs Taliban wasn't tactically accurate. both parties would have prepared the ground, its how they win. they don't fight if they haven't prepared the ground. they would disperse into the landscape. and looking back, William Wallace was the same way vs Shaka. (although one on one, that would have been an amazing fight, given Shakas superior conditioning vs Wallaces superior tactics) honestly, adding those variables to the show would just enrichen the show. i have read a lot of bitching about it on these forums, regarding accuracy, but as a modern day warrior, with a major in history, i might add, this show could be amazing, and blow any criticism out of the water. keep fighting, for at least 6 more seasons. i love it. thank you.

I just saw the show about the comparisons between the IRA and the Taliban. Although it was first shown in 2009 I had never seen it altrhough I have seen several others.
When the weapons of the groups were being compared, I have a disagreement about the AK-47 bayonet being better than the IRA slingshot..
You are comparing apples to oranges.
1st, the Taliban does not have a similar weapon, 2nd, the slingshot can be effective to 100 ft or so which an AK-47 bayonet (or ANY bayonet) obviously cannot do.
If you want to have a reasonably accurate comparison, compare bayonet to bayonet! Some AR-15's (semi-auto only) and usually ALL M-16's (full auto or select fire) have the capability to use.......a BAYONET!!
WOW. imagine that......a.fair comparison! Now it comes down to training and technique! Also, the M-16 can use two different type of bayonets.
While we are on the subject, why wasn't the 40mm grenade launcher used on the M-16? Although an option, it is a worthwhile one.
I really like the show, but please try to do better comparisons in the future!

A lot of what they say seems accurate, but with the vikings, watch the recreation videos, the viking is fighting with a sword in one hand and a shield in the other. Yet when they test the weapons the "viking" guy is swinging wildly holding the sword with both hands. Where is the accuracy in that? Either the shield should be out, or he needs to swing the sword with one hand when testing it.

I would love to see the matchup between Spartans and anchient China. Me and my friend have been arguing about this for a while now and he keeps saying that the shield wins it for Sparta. The only thing he says had a chance was some spear that looked sorta like a drill. Yeah, go ahead and ignore this, but I'm just plain desperate to find out who would win. My friend's stubborn on that Sparta would win and I'm betting on China. If you guys ever get this, this is probably the only to resolve this in a way where he doesn't go and say "That's not facts" and get this over with. So far, he's saying the shield could defend against gunpowder, most of the entire array of weapons, and being lit on fire with oil. I'm BEGGING, please shut us both up and resolve this, with at least a comment response.

I would love to see a certain ancient warrior that you guys seemed to have forgotten about on your show. The Babylonian/Assyrian warrior has never been mentioned on the show and they did rule the ancient world for quite some time. Their history dates back to about 7800 years or more and I really think that it would be very interesting to see how they match up to some of the other warriors in history. They are directly responsible for the invention of many weapons used through out history and honestly think it would make for a great show.

also are they going to have matches against all oponents viking lost against samuri and ninja lost against spartan would be good to see viking vs ninja take all options into account , also the viking beserkers used to consume vast amounts of wild garlic aswell as libertycap or flyagaric mushrooms this did more than just make them feel invincible ! they fought naked and would rip open their own bowels in combat the gas released by doing this would KO whoever inhaled it making them vomit or pass out

Just a play on your show title - Deadliest Warrior. Great show by the way - very interesting. "Deadliest" would infer 3 or more warriors, yet each episode only 2 are faced off. Perhaps "Deadlier" Warrior would have been a better title for the show? I guess hearing Deadliest Warrior each episode, I assumed the only way to make it correct would be to face them all off at the end and see who is "deadliest" - hasn't happened yet. Again, I really enjoy the show.
