New York, NY, March 15, 2016 – Spike TV is partnering with entertainment superstar and singing icon Christina Aguilera (“The Voice”) to develop a new, music-based game show, “Tracks.” Produced by Mission Control Media and MX Productions in association with Lionsgate, “Tracks” will debut as a half-hour special on Spike TV later this year.

“Tracks” is an innovative musical game show where a team of two attempts to name a song title just by listening to its individual tracks (e.g. guitar, bass, vocal, etc.).  The series will also feature surprise celebrity musical guests performing tracks – which could be their own – or others.

“Having finely tuned my ear for music over the years, I thought it would be fun to test other folks and see if they can identify a track – with a twist – since contestants will have to focus on a single component of a song,” said Executive Producer Aguilera. “I’m excited to have ‘Tracks’ debuting on Spike TV, and proud to have this as the first project springing from our first-look deal with Lionsgate.”

Aguilera serves as executive producer along with MX Productions founder Matthew Rutler (“Chef Without Boarders,” “MasterClass”), Michael Agbabian and Dwight D. Smith (“Hollywood Game Night,” “Face Off”).   Neal Tabachnick and Michael Aubry are co-executive producers, and developed the series with Mission Control Media.

Yaitanes’ extensive resume includes many of the most popular and critically-acclaimed television series over the last decade, including “Lost,” “Damages,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Ray Donovan,” “Heroes,” “House,” and “Banshee.” He is repped by Joe Cohen and Tiffany Ward at CAA.

Spike is bringing Kim Stanley Robinson’s award-winning “Mars Trilogy” to television with Skydance Television serving as the studio on the original one-hour scripted series, titled “Red Mars.”  The books, “Red Mars,” “Green Mars,” and “Blue Mars,” which chronicle mankind’s colonization and transformation of the red planet, have been adapted in 21 languages and are regarded as the best novels ever written on the subject. “Red Mars” goes into production this summer and will consist of ten one-hour episodes, to debut in 2017.

New York, NY, February 25, 2016 – Spike has ordered a production pilot from Dimension Television based on the classic Stephen King novella, “The Mist.”

The Spike original scripted series tells a harrowing story about a seemingly innocuous mist that seeps into a small town and creates immense havoc. This will be the first production pilot for a Spike scripted dramatic series since the network’s shift towards general entertainment.

Christian Torpe serves as the Executive Producer for Spike’s “The Mist.” Torpe created the successful show RITA in Denmark, now finishing its fourth season, and has developed programming for both Showtime and AMC.

“We are thrilled to join forces with the incredibly creative Christian Torpe and Dimension Films to develop Stephen King’s enthralling novella to a compelling series unlike anything else on television,” said Sharon Levy, Executive Vice President, Original Series, Spike.

“Caraoke Showdown” will debut as a half-hour special later this year.

The premise of “Caraoke Showdown” features Robinson posing as a driver, picking up unsuspecting contestants who are along for a very unique ride upon realizing they are on a karaoke-inspired game show.  During various rounds of game play, contestants must belt out their favorite tunes, finish the lyrics or act out songs for cash.  Celebrity guest appearances add to the surprise as the contestants never know what’s going to happen next.

Craig Robinson is best known for his role as acerbic Dunder-Mifflin employee Darryl Philbin on NBC’s Emmy-winning “The Office.” He also just recently won the Sundance Actor Award for his standout performance in the Award-winning entry, “Morris From America.” The renowned actor and comedian’s credits include NBC’s “Mr. Robinson,” HBO’s “Eastbound and Down,” and feature films “Pineapple Express,” “Hot Tub Machine,” “Zack and Miri Make A Porno,” “This Is The End,” and “Peeples.”

Mandel will serve as Executive Producer with Mike Marks of Alevy Productions along with Core Media.

New York, NY, February 2, 2016 – Three quarters of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck with no cushion for the unexpected.  And according to a recent survey, one in five Americans believes they will die in debt.  Spike and former Fortune 500 business strategist Victor Antonio are on a mission to chip away at these staggering statistics by knocking on the doors of families on the verge of financial ruin and giving them a much needed wakeup call.  Antonio will not only help these families face the facts and the bleak future that awaits them if they continue down this path, he will also pinpoint the underlying issues and ultimately supply the tools needed to empower them to get back in the black. Ten one-hour episodes of “Life Or Debt” debut starting Sunday, March 13 at 10PM ET/PT on Spike.

New York, NY, January 19, 2016 – Spike’s multiplatform megastar, “Lip Sync Battle,” has been renewed for a third season consisting of 20 half-hour episodes, it was announced today by Kevin Kay, Spike President.

“Lip Sync Battle is a multiplatform pop-culture phenomenon that has played an integral role in delivering a new and broader audience to Spike,” said Kevin Kay, Spike President.

The new season will tape later this year. A premiere date for season three will be announced in the near future.

“Lip Sync Battle” is the most-watched original series in Spike’s history and continually delivers a big and broad audience to the channel. Season two launched on January 7 and through the first two episodes, “Lip Sync Battle” is averaging 4.4 million viewers and is the top-ranked series in its timeslot with a 3.1 rating in the coveted demographic of Adults 18-49 in all of television.

The series is a digital hit as well, amassing over half a billion video streams since launch last April, with over 50 million alone for the season 2 premiere featuring Channing Tatum vs. Jenna Dewan-Tatum with special appearances by Beyoncé and Paula Abdul.

“Lip Sync Battle” is hosted by music legend LL Cool J with Chrissy Teigen serving as the colorful commentator. LL COOL J will be honored this week with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

“Lip Sync Battle” can be seen in over 130 countries and territories worldwide. The UK version launched January 9 on Viacom’s Channel 5 and was the top-rated show in the 16-34 demographic in the time period.

New York, NY, January 19, 2016 – Spike TV’s hit original reality-competition series “Ink Master,” produced by Original Media, returns for a “lucky” seventh season, premiering Tuesday, March 1 at 10 pm ET/PT. In addition to new contestants, this season brings back eight of the series’ favorite artists from previous seasons to battle it out in permanent ink for a $100,000 grand prize, an editorial feature in Inked and, of course, the bragging rights title of ‘Ink Master.’

This season comes with a new twist, as each week, a veteran artist – and former ‘Ink Master’ contestant – will be introduced to the group prior to the elimination challenge. The artists will be put through a series of tattoo challenges that are not only designed to test the their technical skills, but also their on-the-spot creativity, as they must create and execute an original tattoo on a ‘Human Canvas.’ Each episode will focus on a different and distinct style of tattooing, and while the masterpieces these artists create will last a lifetime… so will their mistakes.

After every challenge, the contestants face a tough panel made up of musician, filmmaker and artist Dave Navarro, as well as world renowned tattoo artists Chris Nunez (“Miami Ink”) and Oliver Peck (Elm Street Tattoo).

Once again, the Human Canvases, who volunteer their bodies to be tattooed by the “Ink Master” contestants, will have a say in who gets sent home. The Canvases will form their own jury, deliberate as a group and pick one artist per episode who will be up for elimination. In the jury room, viewers get an inside look at the heated arguments and wicked emotions as the Canvases defend or abandon their new ink and artist.

“Ink Master” completed its 6th season on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 with a LIVE 90-minute finale that delivered 2.4 million viewers. The star-studded and highly-anticipated season two premiere of Spike’s multiplatform hit “Lip Sync Battle” on Thursday, January 7 at 10:00pm ET/PT shattered ratings and digital records for the network.

The one-hour special episode featuring an epic showdown between Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan Tatum with special appearances by Beyonce and Paula Abdul drew 4.7 million viewers (with +3 day DVR playback), making it the most watched original series episode in Spike history. The telecast peaked with 6.4 million viewers for Channing’s performance of Beyoncé’s “Run The World (Girls).”  Content for the Season 2 premiere has been viewed over 55 million times on various digital platforms.

The “Lip Sync Battle” season two debut was the #1 ranked show with Adults 18-49 (3.45), Adults 18-34 (3.43), Women 18-34 (4.6), Women 18-49 (4.34) in all of television in the timeslot.
