In addition to personal photos from John’s closest friends, the film features vintage footage of young JFK Jr. in the White House, with his family, and rare views of him in the years after his father’s assassination. “I AM JFK Jr.” tells the story of a young man pegged for greatness yet determined to be good — a story that ended way too soon.

The film is the latest from producer-director Derik Murray, who has previously brought to the screen the lives of such stars as Steve McQueen, Chris Farley, Johnny Cash, Bruce Lee and Evel Knievel. “I AM JFK Jr.” joins that gallery of indelible biographical portraits.

New York, NY, July 7, 2016 – Why wait until the holidays or family reunions to reveal outrageous and often cringe-worthy secrets? Spike is launching a new one-hour game show, “That Awkward Game Show,” where parents and their adult children compete to win a large cash prize while learning some of the most ridiculously shocking truths about their next of kin.  The show is hosted by actor and comedian Jeff Dye (“Better Late Than Never,” “I Can Do That,” “Girl Code,” “Last Comic Standing”).

The 11-episode series, which marks Spike’s first foray into the in-studio game show format, will be Executive Produced by A. Smith & Co. Productions (“Hell’s Kitchen,” “American Ninja Warrior,” “Spartan: Ultimate Team Challenge”).

As if having the talk with your children wasn’t bad enough, imagine having to explain to your kid the details of the night they were conceived, or revealing to your parent that you secretly married the boyfriend they’ve never approved of – all of the skeletons are about to come out of the closet on “That Awkward Game Show.”

Each episode will feature three teams of two (comprised of one parent and one adult child per team) trying to figure out which embarrassing factoid is related to their teammate (and family member!). In order to advance throughout the game, contestants will have to identify uncomfortable, often outrageous, previously unknown truths about their loved ones.  The parent/kid duo who answers the most questions correctly will win a major cash prize.

“That Awkward Game Show” will tape this summer and debut in the Fall.

Jeff Dye is an actor, host, prankster and nationally touring comedian. Most recently starring in NBC’s “I Can Do That,” Dye’s next project with the network is the forthcoming “Better Late Than Never,” a new series that will follow the travels of legendary personalities as they experience the adventure of a lifetime. First gaining national recognition on “Last Comic Standing,” Dye has gone on to host MTV’s “Money From Strangers” and “Numbnuts.” Dye has also been featured on his own “Comedy Central Presents” special and has starred in additional TV projects, including “Girl Code” and “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.”

Scripted Series Based On Classic Stephen King Novella Set to Begin Production This Summer

10-Episode Series To Debut on Spike in 2017

New York, NY, June 23, 2016 – Frances Conroy has signed on to star in Spike’s new scripted series “The Mist.”  From TWC-Dimension Television (TV) based on the classic Stephen King novella, “The Mist” goes into production this summer and airs in 2017. The announcement was jointly made today by Sharon Levy, Executive Vice President, Original Series, Spike and Bob Weinstein, Co-Chairman The Weinstein Company.

“The Mist” tells a harrowing story about a seemingly innocuous mist that seeps into a small town and creates immense havoc.   Conroy has been cast in the role of “Nathalie,” a modern day ecological martyr.  While she is seemingly more connected to nature than most people, her instincts about her fellow humans are dead on.

Conroy is best known for playing Ruth Fisher on the television series “Six Feet Under.”  Her work on the show won her acclaim and several awards, including a Golden Globe® and three Screen Actors Guild Awards.  She is also known for playing the older version of her character Moira O’Hara on season one of the television anthology series “American Horror Story,” which garnered Conroy an Emmy® nomination. Conroy subsequently portrayed The Angel of Death, Myrtle Snow and Gloria Mott on the next three seasons of the show, “Asylum,” “Coven” and “Freak Show,” respectively. For her performance in “Coven,” she was nominated again for an Emmy®.  Conroy can also be seen in the Hulu original series “Casual.”  Conroy is represented by Echo Lake Entertainment and Paradigm Talent Agency.

ANTHONY MICHAELS NAMED SEASON 7 WINNER OF “INK MASTER” IN LIVE SEASON FINALE

Anthony Michaels Named Season 7 Winner

Of “Ink Master” In Live Season Finale

 

New York, NY, May 24, 2016 – In a live finale that was both intense and thrilling, Anthony Michaels was named the winner of “Ink Master” Season 7.  Michaels wins a cash prize of $100,000, a feature article in the premiere tattoo publication Inked and the ultimate bragging rights title of ‘Ink Master.’

Sixteen of the top tattoo artists from around the country battled it out all season in permanent ink, in various tattoo challenges that not only tested the artists’ technical skills, but also their on-the-spot creativity, with competitors creating and executing original tattoos on “human canvases.” In addition to new contestants, this season of “Ink Master” brought back eight of the series’ favorite artists from previous seasons to battle it out.

Each week’s challenges focused on a different tattoo technique and style. After every challenge, the contestants faced a tough panel made up of musician, filmmaker and artist Dave Navarro (Jane’s Addiction) as well as world-renowned tattoo artists Chris Núñez (“Miami Ink”) and Oliver Peck (Elm Street Tattoo).

The final three contestants – Christian Buckingham, artist at Revolt Tattoo in Henderson, NV; Anthony Michaels, artist at Metro Tattoo in Tucson, AZ; and Cleen Rock One, owner and artist at Chrome Gypsy Tattoo in Las Vegas, NV – were each assigned two master canvases. They were sent back to their home bases to complete a chest-piece tattoo as well as a sleeve tattoo.

The three finalists revealed their chest pieces first which were then voted on by fans via social media, sponsored by Gildan® brand.  During the finale, fans were able to vote to determine who completed this challenge the best, and the artist with the most votes earned a spot in the top two.  After thousands of tweets, it was determined that Michaels had the best chest-piece tattoo of the evening, which secured his spot in the final two and awarded him $20,000 courtesy of Gildan®.

Then, for the first time in “Ink Master” history, the 13 eliminated artists formed a jury that was tasked with deliberating and selecting the second artist to move forward based on their master canvas chest piece. After a long deliberation, the eliminated artist jury voted One to join Michaels in the final two.

Once all three finalists’ sleeve tattoos were revealed, the judges deliberated on the final two’s master canvases.  In the end, Michaels was named the season 7 winner of “Ink Master.”

In addition, fans were given a first look at Season 8 of “Ink Master,” which is themed “Peck vs. Núñez” and will premiere in fall of 2016.

Adam Bernstein To Direct Premiere of New Scripted Series “The Mist”

SPIKE AND TWC-DIMENSION TELEVISION ANNOUNCE EMMY-AWARD WINNING DIRECTOR ADAM BERNSTEIN WILL DIRECT THE PREMIERE EPISODE OF THE NEW SCRIPTED SERIES “THE MIST”

New York, NY, May 5, 2016 – Adam Bernstein, an award-winning and critically-acclaimed television and film director, will serve as Director and Executive Producer for the premiere episode of Spike’s new scripted series, “The Mist.” From TWC-Dimension Television (TV) based on the classic Stephen King novella, “The Mist” goes into production this summer and airs in 2017. The announcement was jointly made today by Sharon Levy, Executive Vice President, Original Series, Spike TV and Bob Weinstein, Co-Chairman The Weinstein Company.

Bernstein’s extensive resume includes many of the most decorated series on television over the last 15 years including directing the pilots for “Fargo,” “30 Rock,” and “Scrubs.” “His impressive credits also include “Better Call Saul,” “Breaking Bad,” “Californication,” “Shameless,” “Bored to Death,”  “Oz,” “Homicide: Life on the Street,” and “Entourage.” In 2006, he won a Primetime Emmy® Award for Outstanding Comedy Series for “30 Rock.”

Bernstein also directed many of the most popular and memorable music videos including “Love Shack” for the B-52s, “Hey Ladies” for the Beastie Boys, and “Baby Got Back” for Sir Mix-A-Lot.

Bernstein is also noted for directing “The Adventures of Pete and Pete,” the first original programming for Spike’s sister-channel, Nickelodeon. He is currently repped by ICM Partners.

“The Mist” tells a harrowing story about a seemingly innocuous mist that seeps into a small town and creates immense havoc. Christian Torpe serves as the Executive Producer for Spike’s “The Mist.” Torpe created the successful show RITA in Denmark, now finishing its fourth season, and has developed programming for both Showtime and AMC.

Spike has ordered 10 one-hour episodes of “The Mist.”

Megan Spanjian, EVP of Scripted TV, was instrumental in finding and bringing Torpe to the table and will oversee the project for TWC-Dimension TV along with Matthew Signer, EVP of Production and Creative Affairs, and Keith Levine, SVP of Production and Development.  Torpe is repped by ICM and Artists in Residence.

Levy, Ted Gold, Senior Vice President, Scripted Original Series, and Lauren Ruggiero, Senior Director, Scripted Programming will oversee the project.

Spike TV debuted its first scripted event series in eight years, “Tut,” last July to strong ratings and has recently ordered to series, “Red Mars” based on Kim Stanley Robinson’s award-winning “Mars Trilogy.”

TWC-Dimension Television debuted its first scripted series SCREAM, which is an adaptation of the hit horror film franchise, with MTV.  With a successful first season SCREAM TV was picked up for Season 2, which is currently in production and will debut on May 30, 2016.

The 10-Episode Series Goes Into Production
This Summer And Debut in 2017

New York, NY, April 14, 2016 – Spike has greenlit a new original scripted series, “The Mist” from TWC-Dimension Television (TV) based on the classic Stephen King novella. The network has ordered 10 one-hour episodes and will into go production this summer and debut in 2017.  The announcement was made today by Sharon Levy, Executive Vice President, Original Series, Spike TV.

“The Mist” tells a harrowing story about a seemingly innocuous mist that seeps into a small town and creates immense havoc.

In February, Spike ordered a production pilot for “The Mist.” Upon hearing the series pitch and reading the script, the network has decided to go straight to series.

“From the brilliant mind of Stephen King and the incredible production team at TWC-Dimension TV, ‘The Mist’ will take audiences on a thrilling ride through a small town grappling with a mysterious and shocking horror,” said Levy.

“Christian and the entire team at TWC-Dimension TV have crafted the framework for a compelling and distinctive series that will resonate with Spike’s expanding audience,” said Levy.

“We have been fortunate to produce and distribute two of Stephen King’s films, 1408 and THE MIST, and are pleased to continue that relationship by making THE MIST into a TV series,” said Bob Weinstein, Co-Chariman The Weinstein Company.  “We’ve had an incredible experience developing the series with Christian, Sharon and her team and are eager to make this series a signature show for Spike.”
