 Chris Farley lived his life full speed and committed to making everyone around him laugh out loud, and “I Am Chris Farley tells his hilarious, touching and wildly entertaining story for the first time ever – from his early days in Madison, Wisconsin, and at Marquette University, through his work at the legendary Second City to his rapid rise to the top of the comedy world on “Saturday Night Live” and in hit films like Tommy Boy and Black Sheep.

 The film showcases the performer’s most memorable characters and skits from television and film, paired with iconic photographs, home movies and family snapshots, to fully round out the story of this comedy legend – a bear of a man who nevertheless had remarkable grace and physicality.  Clips from Farley’s most unforgettable performances fill the documentary, from his breathtaking Chippendales audition alongside Patrick Swayze, to his comically ill-fated salesman in Tommy Boy, to his diatribes as Matt Foley, the motivational speaker who “lives in a van down by the river!”

New York, NY, June 10, 2015 – Spike’s wildly popular breakout hit series, “Lip Sync Battle” is going LIVE in New York City on Monday, July 13, as part of the City Parks Foundation’s SummerStage festival.

LL COOL J, a proud native New Yorker will host the LIVE event and New York City resident Chrissy Teigen will provide the color commentary.

“Lip Sync Battle was born and raised in New York City,” said Casey Patterson, Executive Producer.  “We’re honored to be doing our first-ever LIVE show from New York in Central Park. The event will be free for our amazing fans. Central Park is a magical setting with an incredible music legacy, and we can’t wait to rock it!”

Based on the pop culture phenomenon of lip sync battling, the Spike original series features celebrities going head to head – lip-syncing the song of their choice – battling for the coolest bragging rights on the planet.  The series is a ratings and multiplatform superstar for Spike and is the most-watched original series in network history, averaging 3 million viewers.

The competitors for Spike’s first-ever outdoor “Lip Sync Battle” will be announced shortly. The event will be produced by Casey Patterson Entertainment and held rain or shine (gates open at 7:00 p.m.) at the SummerStage venue in mid-Central Park (Fifth Avenue at 69th Street). The event will not be televised and is free to fans.

“ROCK THE TROOPS” GLOBAL EVENT
New York, NY, June 6, 2015 – Seven Bucks Productions, co-founded by Dwayne Johnson and Dany Garcia, has joined forces with Spike TV and Casey Patterson Entertainment to create “ROCK THE TROOPS,” a grand scale music and entertainment event to celebrate and entertain deployed US Troops serving overseas. The Spike Original Special will be filmed at a Military Base overseas, location to be announced in the coming months. “ROCK THE TROOPS” will bow on Veterans Day 2016. 
 
The star-studded event will feature live performances from headliners from the worlds of music, movies, comedy, sports and more.

New York, NY, June 4, 2015Lip Sync Battle” has been a ratings champion for Spike since launch on April 2, delivering record viewership for the network. Over the past 9 weeks, “Lip Sync Battle” is ranked #1 in its timeslot in all of cable TV with Adults 18-49 and Women 18-49 and among all cable entertainment series with Men 18-49. The original series averaged 2.9 million viewers and has improved the network’s timeslot with the key demographic of Adults 18-49 by 161%.

“Lip Sync Battle” also delivered a staggering 177 million cross-platform streams across Spike’s owned and operated properties as well as Facebook and YouTube, with Anne Hathaway’s “wrecking ball” clip alone garnering 15 million.

“When The Levee Breaks” Is Wimmer’s

First-Ever Scripted Television Project 

New York, NY, June 2, 2015 –World-renowned film screenwriter Kurt Wimmer is developing his first ever television project with Spike. The scripted series, “When The Levee Breaks,” reflects a number of hot-button issues that are culturally relevant today including race and law enforcement. Wimmer’s impressive resume includes “Law Abiding Citizen,” “Salt,” and the upcoming “Point Break.”

“When The Levee Breaks” concerns events that take place when an illegal strike by the LAPD threatens chaos in America’s second largest city.  An African-American cop, the series’ central character, is the only officer with the courage to cross the strike-line to investigate the true motivations behind the murders of the two racist cops whose deaths provoked the strike – and whose murders he himself may be linked to.

Wimmer is represented by CAA.

Levy, Ted Gold, Senior Vice President, Scripted Original Series, and Justin Lacob, Vice President, Original Series, will oversee the project.

Spike TV will premiere its first scripted event series in eight years, “Tut,” starring Sir Ben Kingsley and Avan Jogia, on July 19.  The network recently announced script options for “Harvest,” from film/television producer Jerry Bruckheimer and Warner Horizon Television; “The Crusaders” from Pierce Brosnan’s Irish DreamTime, Sennet Entertainment, Michael Finch and Academy Award®-winning writer David Franzoni; “Deep Web” with producer/director/writer Tony Krantz of Flame Ventures; “The Chairman,” based on the Stephen Frey best-seller; “Red Mars” from Vince Gerardis, Co-Executive Producer of HBO’s “Game of Thrones,” based on Kim Stanley Robinson’s “Mars Trilogy;” “Emergency Broadcast” from Legendary Pictures and Thomas Tull; and “War at the Shore” based on Richard D. “Skip” Bronson’s book.

NEW YORK – May 28, 2015 – Spike TV’s popular original series, “Catch A Contractor,” which follows host and master carpenter Adam Carolla along with expert contractor Skip Bedell and investigator Alison Bedell as they seek justice for wronged homeowners, is back for an explosive new season.  This season not only sets out to aid 10 new families in grim living circumstances, but also gives viewers a never-before-seen glimpse behind the scenes of the tense sting operations and the meticulous coordination needed to nab these deceitful conmen. “Catch A Contractor” premieres its third season on Sunday, June 21 at 10PM ET/PT on Spike TV.    

“Catch A Contractor” aims to finally turn the tables on shady contractors and educate homeowners on the warning signs before it’s too late.  Adam, Skip and Alison seek retribution for duped homeowners, whose construction nightmares range from the absurdly inept, to alarmingly hazardous homes that are accidents waiting to happen.  They hunt down and confront unscrupulous builders, drag them back to their construction disasters, and make them finish the job right.  Carolla and his expert team share their knowledge and ingenuity with the builders – not only in an effort to deliver homeowners the job they paid for, but also to give these suspect contractors the opportunity to redeem themselves.

The premiere episode features a grandmother who is left without a single working toilet and in danger of an electrical fire when she entrusts her savings to her daughter’s friend, who agrees to redo her bathrooms in order to accommodate her 14 grandchildren.  Months later, not only does this grandmother have to drive miles away to use the restroom in a local church, but there is a deep rift in the family due to this shady contractor.

 “Catch A Contractor” is created and produced by 3 Ball Entertainment (“Bar Rescue,” “Extreme Weight Loss”) with JD Roth, Todd A. Nelson, Brant Pinvidic and DJ Nurre serving as Executive Producers. Adam Carolla is also an Executive Producer. New York, NY, May 27, 2015 – Coming off its most-watched season to date, Spike TV has picked up a seventh season of “Ink Master,” the network’s hit, original tattoo-competition series. Season seven will feature 16 one-hour episodes, slated to debut in spring 2016. In addition, the network has announced a spin-off series, “Ink Master: Redemption,” which offers disgruntled former human canvases of “Ink Master” a chance to receive a new tattoo that leaves them happier than their last. The announcement was made by Chachi Senior, Senior Vice President, Original Programming, Spike TV.

The network will launch the newest installment of “Ink Master” – season six – on Tuesday, June 23 at 10pm ET/PT.

In “Ink Master: Redemption,” human canvases from previous “Ink Master” seasons, who left unhappy with their tattoos, return to the shop for a chance at new ink. The spinoff series, featuring six half-hour episodes, will debut in September.

Season 5 of “Ink Master,” which delivered an average 2.2 million viewers, was the show’s highest-rated season among Adults and Women 18-49. In its Tuesday 10-11 PM ET/PT slot, the series ranked in the top five among Persons 18-49, Men 18-49 and Men 18-34, and is currently one of Spike’s most gender-balanced programs. “Ink Master” generated 11.8 million total cross platform video views during the season, and the LIVE finale was ranked #1 on cable based on twitter activity.

“With Americans spending more than $1Billion annually on tattoos, ‘Ink Master’ has definitely hit a chord with viewers and has continued to grow as one of our most gender-balanced original series,” said Senior. “The show’s viewers are not only fans of the amazing artwork displayed, they are also invested in the human canvases and what happens when a client leaves unhappy with their tattoo. We have created ‘Ink Master: Redemption’ to help answer those questions.”

Each week, “Ink Master” puts artists through a series of tattoo challenges that are not only designed to test the artists’ technical skills, but also their on-the-spot creativity, as they must create and execute an original tattoo by command on a ‘human canvas.’ Each episode focuses on a different and distinct style of tattooing. The masterpieces these artists create will last a lifetime – but so will their mistakes. The series is hosted by Dave Navarro (Jane’s Addiction), and the series judges are world-renowned tattoo artists Chris Nunez (“Miami Ink”) and Oliver Peck (Elm Street Tattoo).
