Spike’s “E3 All Access Live” to Bring Gamers Unprecedented LIVE Multi-Platform Coverage of XBOX: A New Generation of Games and Entertainment and EA Media Showcase, Breaking News, Gaming Trailers and Demos

New York, NY and Los Angeles, CA – May 28, 2013 – Spike TV has been named the official broadcaster for the biggest event in video games, the 2013 Electronic Entertainment Expo.  The network, coming off its exclusive television broadcast of the Xbox One reveal, will once again be the home for all things gaming.  Fans will be treated to LIVE multi-platform coverage of all the action taking place at E3.

Spike TV’s “E3 All Access Live” (#GTE3) will provide viewers with nearly 20 hours of LIVE coverage over two days, including exclusive television broadcast access to the highly-anticipated XBOX: A New Generation of Games and Entertainment and EA media showcase (#EAE3) featuring ground-breaking news, gaming trailers and demos starting on Monday, June 10.  This is the fourth year in a row Spike TV will be exclusively airing the Xbox media briefing on television and the third year in a row it will be exclusively airing the EA media showcase.

Considered to be the ultimate event in the video game industry, the 2013 Electronic Entertainment Expo runs June 11-13, 2013 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.  “E3 All Access Live” will kick-off its multi-platform coverage on Spike TV, in HD, from Los Angeles one day before the event is open to the public on Monday, June 10 (Noon-5:30pm ET/ 9:00am-2:30pm PT) and continue at 5:30-11:00pm ET / 2:30-8:00pm PT.  Spike.com will stream five more live hours on Tuesday, June 11 (Noon-5:00pm ET/ 9:00am-2:00pm PT) The live special will also be supported through additional digital pre and post shows as well as through online simulcasts.

Network Orders 20 More Episodes of Hit Original Series Starring Jon Taffer

New York, NY, May 9, 2013Spike TV has greenlit 20 more episodes of the network’s popular original series, “Bar Rescue” starring renowned bar and nightlife expert Jon Taffer.  From the producers of “Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition” and the first 11 powerhouse seasons of “The Biggest Loser,” “Bar Rescue” features Taffer, as he wields his nearly three decades of experience in the restaurant, bar and nightclub business to help give failing establishments one last chance to transform themselves into profitable businesses.

“Bar Rescue” is among Spike TV’s original series that have successfully managed to broaden the network’s audience base. The third season, which premiered on Sunday, February 10  averaged a robust 1.8 million viewers, its highest ever, and improved the timeslot by a staggering +282% with Adults 18-34 and +195% with Adults 18-49.  The series drew a franchise-high 2.2 million viewers on April 7 and delivered more Men 18-49 than the highly-acclaimed “Mad Men.”

In “Bar Rescue,” Taffer travels nationwide, targeting a different failing establishment in each episode.  His approach may ruffle feathers along the way, but Taffer pulls no punches and values bottom lines above hurt feelings.  Owners and employees he believes are standing in the way of success are urged to check their egos at the door, as he employs a proven scientific approach to solving the problems befalling bars.

The stakes are high as regretful clients go under the needle a second time to see if one of the three expert artists at Tattoo Nightmares — Big Gus, Tommy Helm and Jasmin Rodriguez — can work a miracle and turn their disaster pieces into masterpieces. Through re-enactments, clients reveal the stories behind how their dreadful ink came to be.

• A husband who admits to his wife that the tattoo he wants covered commemorates another woman.
• A man who paid for a lost bet by getting six nipples tattooed down his stomach, making him look like a female dog.

“Cops” Moves to Spike TV

NEW EPISODES OF “COPS” MOVE TO SPIKE TV IN SEPTEMBER 2013

New York, NY, May 6, 2013 – Spike TV will be the new television home for one of the longest running series in television history, “Cops,” it was announced today by Kevin Kay, President, Spike TV.  The iconic series will move from FOX to Spike with new episodes debuting in September 2013.

“Cops,” concluding its 25th season in primetime this May, is the rawest and the most realistic of all reality shows. The ground-breaking series allows viewers to ride along with the men and women of law enforcement every week as they take on everything from domestic disputes to car chases.

“Cops is a remarkable series that has been able to sustain strong ratings well into its third decade, a monumental achievement in television,” said Kay. “As we continue to grow and expand our audience, new episodes of “Cops,” with its loyal audience of Adults 18-49, is the perfect addition to our primetime lineup on Saturday nights.”

Spike TV will keep “Cops” in its long-standing timeslot of Saturday nights at 8pm ET/PT.  The network will also have access to a portion of the “Cops” vast library.

New York, NY, May 6, 2013 – The inaugural season of Spike TV’s “Fight Master: Bellator MMA” brings together 32 of the best welterweight (170 lbs) fighters on the planet to compete for a spot in the Bellator MMA Tournament, the toughest tournament in sports, and a $100,000 prize.  The series premieres on Wednesday, June 19 at 10:00 PM, ET/PT, featuring legends of the sport, Randy Couture, Greg Jackson, Frank Shamrock, and Joe Warren, as coaches.

From Salvador, Brazil to Newcastle, United Kingdom to Great Falls, MT, the 32 fighters have traveled from all corners of the globe to the bayou of New Orleans, and will live and train together in four camps led by the aforementioned legendary coaches.  This series is much more than just a tournament, as it will capture the reality of the competitors and the grueling training regimen it takes to become a world-class MMA fighter.

The concept of “Fight Master: Bellator MMA” is unprecedented in that the fighters control their own destiny.  They will choose which camp to train with and which opponent they want to fight next.  The 32 fighters will partake in qualifying bouts over the first three episodes of the series.  The finale will be telecast live on Spike with the winner moving on to an upcoming tournament.  Bellator announcer Jimmy Smith will serve as host.

The series will delve into the fighters’ personal stories for a glimpse into the often arduous journey that led them to “Fight Master.”  Viewers will get to know the man behind the fighter, and follow them on their quest for victory.  Despite their wide variety of ethnic and economic backgrounds, these fighters all share the same goal – to learn from the sport’s finest trainers and earn a spot in the Bellator tournament.

Spike TV will telecast 10 one-hour episodes of “Fight Master: Bellator MMA.” Production begins in early February in Louisiana.  Two of television’s most acclaimed producers, eight-time Emmy® Award-winner Bertram van Munster and Elise Doganieri of Profiles Television Productions, the visionaries behind “The Amazing Race,” serve as Executive Producers.  Andrea Richter serves as Executive Producer as well and Sharon Levy, Executive Vice President, Original Programming, Spike TV, and Tim Duffy, Senior Vice President, Original Programming, Spike TV, and Christopher Martello, Vice President, Sports and Specials, Spike TV, will oversee the project for the network.

NEW YORK, May 2, 2013 – Spike TV’s Guys Choice (#GuysChoice), Hollywood’s biggest boys night out, announced today that Academy Award®-winner Ben Affleck will receive the evening’s highest honor, “Guy of the Year.” The always A-List, modern tribute to the most important manchievements of the year in sports, music, television and film will tape on Saturday, June 8 at the Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City, CA and premieres Wednesday, June 12 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT.
