New Original Series Gives Viewers Unprecedented Access to the Design and Execution of Never-Before-Seen Death-Defying Stunts and Apparent Supernatural Abilities

New York, NY, January 29, 2013 – Criss Angel sets out to confirm he’s the greatest magician of all time in Spike’s new original series (title to be announced shortly).  Criss has been revolutionizing the art of magic for more than a decade, but in this series, Criss takes his illusions and demonstrations to the next level, with an entirely new look and feel.   Each week, Angel will attempt bold and audacious demonstrations never attempted by any mystifier in history.  For the first time ever in any magic programming, Criss will reveal the creative process beyond the magic as he lets the audience behind closed doors into the creative “think tank” where his team brainstorms, debates and prepares the most spectacular illusions in history.  This unprecedented access will demonstrate the methods and secrets that go into designing, building and executing these incredible feats. 

Viewers will also get a glimpse into Angel’s dangerous and mysterious life along with a host of new and intriguing characters and celebrity guests.

The episodes will be themed and focus on mind-blowing magic, the supernatural, death-defying escapes, and astonishing physical stunts that will challenge the very laws of nature. Spike has ordered 11 one-hour episodes of the series, which goes into production this spring in Las Vegas and locations across the country. The show is executive produced and directed by Criss Angel for APWI, Inc., David Baram and Erich Recker for LBI Entertainment and is slated to premiere this fall on Spike. The deal was brokered by Scott Lonker and Eric Wattenberg of CAA, who represent Angel.

Series’ Fourth Season to Focus on Both Auctions and Newly Opened

New York, NY, January 8, 2013 – Allen Haff and Ton Jones are back in business on Spike TV on Wednesday, January 30 at 9:00 PM, ET/PT with back-to-back new episodes, and this time they have a surprise in store in the season premiere of “Auction Hunters:  Pawnshop Edition.”  The fourth season of Spike TV’s hit series will once again follow two of the best prospectors in the storage unit auction business, Allen Haff and Ton Jones, but this season the stakes are raised, as the two try to keep their newly opened Haff-Ton Pawn storefront in business. 

This season also introduces a new face, “Big Sis,” who manages Haff-Ton Pawn store while Haff and Jones are away.  A native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Big Sis has bought, sold and collected vintage goods her entire life.

Haff and Jones uncover high-valued items this season, including a collection of century-old leather head football helmets worth over $10,000 and a desert land racing yacht worth $3,000.  The duo also discover rarities such as a 1800s Japanese Tonto Sword used for Seppuku ritual suicide worth $3,500 and a rigged 1930s mafia slot machine valued at $2,500.

Every year in America, 50,000 storage facilities hold auctions for abandoned storage units and, at these auctions, over $1 billion worth of goods changes hands.  Each unit has the potential to be a goldmine or a bust for those who make their living hunting unclaimed property.  “Auction Hunters:  Pawnshop Edition” cuts the lock and opens the door into the high stakes, financial risks and potential rewards where the right purchase can bring in serious cash, and also examines the dynamic at the storefront where Haff and Jones sell their discoveries.

Haff is a second generation antiques dealer and collector with over 20 years of experience in the field.  By the age of 24, he owned his first antique business in Houston, TX and was one of the earliest eBay sellers of vintage collectibles online.  He moved to Los Angeles ten years ago and immediately began hunting in storage unit auctions, Hollywood thrift stores, estate sales and swap meets and earned a living buying and selling antiques and collectibles.  In 2008, Haff started Hollywood & Vintage, a high volume liquidation company specializing in movie memorabilia and vintage collectibles that he operates from his office and warehouse in Los Angeles.

Jones is a self-described hobbyist who has spent years hunting and fishing, as well as collecting knives, swords, guns, old currency and jewelry.  Jones was introduced to storage unit auctions more than seven years ago when he was looking for old cars to take into the desert to wreck for fun, but what he found was a world specifically tailored to his unique skills.  Jones, an imposing figure standing over 6’0”, 400 lbs., is a renowned auction hunter in the Southern California area.  Jones’ expertise lays in rare coins and weaponry, such as medieval swords, daggers and armor.
