Network Names Hosting Team To Broadcast Live For Special Event

New York, NY, December 6, 2011Spike TV announced today that the popular technology site Gizmodo.com will serve as its editorial partner for “CES All Access Live,” the network’s exclusive multi-platform coverage of 2012 International CES® in January.  As part of this partnership, Gizmodo.com will live stream Spike’s coverage of CES on its website and its editors Sam Biddle and Joe Brown will join the “CES All Access Live” hosting team.  In addition to Gizmodo.com’s tech gurus, Spike’s expert line-up includes Geoff Keighley and Justine Ezarik (Spike TV’s “GTTV”), actress Eliza Dushku (“Dollhouse” and “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”), tech reporter Rich DeMuro (KTLA-TV) and writer, actress and comedienne Jessie Cantrell.

“We’re totally stoked about the Gizmodo.com and Spike TV CES partnership,” said Joe Brown, editor-in-chief, Gizmodo.com.  “Like chocolate and peanut butter; Donnie and Marie; Smith & Wesson–we’re sure that this partnership will go down in history as one of the all-time greats.  We speak the same language, and we speak to the same people.”

“We’re thrilled to partner with Gizmodo.com for ‘CES All Access Live,’” said Jon Slusser, senior vice president, sports and multi-platform events, Spike.  “Together, we will be a powerhouse of CES coverage bringing all the action directly to our fans like never before.”

Spike’s “CES All Access Live” expert team will broadcast its multi-platform coverage from its own studio overlooking the highly-anticipated event in Las Vegas.  Viewers can expect to see the hottest items and reveals from CES including hands-on demonstrations and unboxings, exclusive world premieres of new “must own” devices and video games, breaking news from the show floor and interviews with top technology executives and celebrities.  Also, as a special treat, Dushku will provide viewers with a sneak peek into Spike’s exclusive VIP CES party, which she will host at Tryst Nightclub, in the Wynn Las Vegas.

The special event kicks off with five hours of live telecasts in HD on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 and will be viewable live on Spike TV, online on Spike.com, GameTrailers.com, Facebook.com and Gizmodo.com, on mobile phones and tablets including the iPhone, iPad and Android devices as well as on giant video screens located in the “Crossroads of the World” in New York City’s Times Square.
