SPIKE TV SCORES ANOTHER 13 EPISODES OF ORIGINAL SCRIPTED COMEDY “BLUE MOUNTAIN STATE”

PRODUCED BY VARSITY PICTURES AND LIONSGATE

New York, NY, April 27, 2011 – Spike TV has picked up a third season of 13 episodes of its first original scripted comedy series, “Blue Mountain State,” it was announced today by Larry Sullivan, director of original scripted series, Spike TV. Produced by Varsity Pictures’ Brian Robbins and Sharla Sumpter Bridgett and Lionsgate (NYSE: LGF), “Blue Mountain State” experienced significant ratings growth in season 2 compared to season 1, delivering a +33% increase in Men 18-34, +50% in Men 18-24, and +14% in Men 18-49.

“Blue Mountain State” follows the on and off-field antics of college football powerhouse, Blue Mountain State.  Former NFL running back and veteran actor, Ed Marinaro (“Hill Street Blues”), stars as no-nonsense Coach Daniels. In season 3, Coach Daniels will have his authority challenged when the boosters force him to hire a hotshot offensive coordinator/head coach-in-waiting.  Alex, played by Emmy Award®-winner Darin Brooks (“Blue Crush”), will have to step up in season 3 from being a fun-loving second-string to the starting QB. The cast also includes Thad, played by Alan Ritchson (“Smallville”), the team’s over-the-top team captain and Sammy, the team’s mascot, played by Romanski (“The Sarah Silverman Program”).

Denise Richards will return for a second season as Coach Daniels sexy, sharp-tongued ex-wife, Debra.

Brian Robbins and Sharla Sumpter Bridgett are executive producers.  Romanski, who also stars as Sammy, and Eric Falconer (“The Sarah Silverman Program,” “It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia”) also serve as executive producers and writers.

Building on the wildly successful Spike TV show and warrior-based fighting video game franchise, “Deadliest Warrior: Legends” will reach beyond weapons and armor and put gamers back on the battlefield with the most legendary warriors in history.  This version will feature new heroic warriors, new fighting options, a more precise projectile system, more arenas and a new campaign mode.  Players are armed with signature weaponry and combat skills unique to each warrior.  As players complete challenges and destroy rivals, they will unlock new weapons, enhance their fighting skills and encounter the brutal realities of gritty, true-to-life combat.    “Deadliest Warrior: Legends” will be available for Xbox LIVE Arcade and PlayStation Network for a retail price of $10.

SPIKE TV’S NEW GAME SHOW

“REPO GAMES” PREMIERES TUESDAY, APRIL 26 AT 8:00PM ET/PT

From 495 Productions, The Producers Behind MTV’s “The Jersey Shore”

Los Angeles, CA, April 4, 2011 – Spike TV’s new, original, unscripted series “Repo Games” will premiere Tuesday, April 26 at 8:00PM ET/PT with back-to back half-hour episodes.  One part “Cops,” one part “Jeopardy,” the innovative game show will make stops across the country to the homes of unsuspecting debtors armed with five trivia questions.  Answer three correct, the car will be paid off on the spot, but if the debtors fail, the car will be taken to the impound lot.  “Repo Games,” produced by the team behind pop culture phenomenon “The Jersey Shore,” 495 Productions, is hosted by real-life repo men Josh Lewis and Tom DeTone.  Among the cities visited in season one are Dallas and Los Angeles.

Josh Lewis, 30, was raised in Reed City, Michigan.  His first career venture was proudly serving in the United States Navy before earning a degree in Political Science from Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan. It wasn’t until 2003 that he was introduced to the car repossessing business by taking a security guard job for a repo company and soon was promoted to repo man.  At his peak, Lewis was making $150 per car and has been addicted to business ever since.  Lewis currently resides in Los Angeles, CA.

Tom DeTone, 41, was born and raised in the tri-state area until his mid-teens when his family moved to Arizona.  At 19, he was introduced to the repo business after attempting to stop what he thought was an attempted car robbery. His quick reflexes and eye for justice immediately landed him the job as a “spotter” and has been working in the field on and off ever since.  Detone makes his home in Phoenix, Arizona.

“Repo Games” is produced by 495 Productions (“Jersey Shore,” “More to Love,” “Tool Academy,” “My Big Friggin Wedding”).  Sally Ann Salsano serves as executive producer.  Sharon Levy is Spike TV’s executive vice president, original series and animation, Tim Duffy is senior vice president of original programming for Spike TV and Joe Weinstock is senior director, original programming.

Spike TV is available in 99.4 million homes and is a division of MTV Networks.  A unit of Viacom (NYSE: VIA, VIA.B), MTV Networks is one of the world’s leading creators of programming and content across all media platforms.
