Woman of the Year
Love her or hate her, Sarah Palin made her mark this year. The little known Governor of Alaska was thrust into the national spotlight when Republican presidential candidate John McCain tapped her for the Vice President slot. The former beauty queen, mother of five and gun lover had a heck of a ride. She may not have been the most qualified of candidates but her achievements are nonetheless notable. Now that the election is over, she is still making news.
