Big Footprints

The final 4 Bigfoot hunting teams track Sasquatch to Northern California where they search in the 1 million acre Six Rivers National Forest. A team captures a video they insist contains the $10 million image of proof.

Today we are testingyour tracking skills,

because if you can locate oneof Bigfoot's footprints,

you can find the beast himself.

We will judge youon your ability to locate

and cast Bigfoot prints

as well as any tracksof potential Bigfoot prey

like deer, elk, and raccoon.

Justin tracks in this area.

This is Justin's home.

I think we have a big leg upon this one.

To be able to track an animalis gonna be able to tell you

a lot about whatever organismyou're trying to study.

It can lead you directlyto biological evidence,

such as scat and hair,

and then you might be ableto get the visual evidence

that we're looking for.

And as you search,be on lookout

for especiallylarge tracks like these.

In 1958, bulldozer operatorJerry Crew

reported that he found

this print were he was workingnot far from here.

Who knows?You might find something

equally as exciting here.

When the field test is over,

you will submit your castto Dr. Todd.

The team to cast and identify

the largest varietyof animal tracks

will gain a key advantagein the next hunt.

So gather your gear,head out,

and look for fresh tracks.

Good luck.

I think we want to finda nice clear,

muddy openingnear the lake.

Our strategyis to go across the lake

because there's alders there.

Alders only growin mud and water.

It should be the perfect areato get tracks.

If Bigfoot is inthis immediate area,

I think there'll be some tracksin those alders.

All the other nitwitswent that way.

Yeah.We'll go this way.

But I want to checkthis brook out.

Look at this.

I'm pretty sureit's a bear.

I usually lug plasteraround with me.

I like plaster casts.

And as far asmixing plaster up,

uh, it's fairlystraightforward.

Ugh, I see stitchesin your future.

If you want to takethis mixing bowl.

And the mix is goingto be two to one, so--

What part of, "I've never donethis before," was unclear?

Do you want it lick it cleanor do you want me to do it?

Well, that's one down, Kat.

That one here,it's a better one here.

All right.

This would be the toes.

This would be pad.

There's one, two--It's probably a cat.

Probably lookingat a bobcat.

That's whatI'm talking about, man.

Kirsten, they're beddingright here, look.

Look at all these flattened-outpine needles and stuff.

Something's definitely beenwalking up in here.

Looks likea nesting spot, though.

Black and brown.

Along with the hair

we found a swarmof mosquitoes,

so we found thatas a possible DNA--

Yeah, we thought it was a goodDNA opportunity for us.

There you go.

(Shaney)I'm thinking if something's

laying down hereand hair is dropping off,

the mosquitoes are goingto be attacking them too.

So I sat down in the nest,

and letthe mosquitoes attack me.

Who knows, they couldbe sucking on Bigfoot,

if Bigfoot waslaying in here, right?

Oh, look at that one.

Got him.

No one else is gonna collectmosquitoes from a nesting site.

Michael will.

Make sure to try to get onesbefore they bite me.

These two are stuck together.

We're gonna samplethe mosquitoes in this area

and hopefully get some blood.

And we'd be really, really luckyif we got blood from Bigfoot.

Yeah, one of these mighthave something in it.

(Justin)We just filmed something

on two legsthat looked very tall.

(Ro)It was about 50 yards away.

We got it ontwo different FLIRs,

two different angles.

Thermal video.

You could see thatthere was no clothes.

You could-- You could--You could see it plain as day.

(Ro)It was gone quick.

We moved into the areasoon as we had the chance.

Didn't find any other tracksor scat or hair.

We're gonnacontaminate this.

We can't find anythingin the dark.

But right nowmy heart's racing.

Yeah, I can't--I'm in a different world.

I mean, it's hardto put it into words.

(Justin)When you try, what seems like--

like my whole lifeto get footage,

something to show my dad,

something to show--

something to show my brother,

and something to show, you know,my daughter when she grows up--

and it's like, these things are real.

I mean, this is--this is very good footage.

You can see it very clearly.

It's-- It's, uh--pretty (bleep) exciting.

Where's my $10 million check?

This will probably bebigger than Patterson-Gimlin.

This is-- it's--it's intense.

Yeah, it's pretty intense.

All right, let's go get our money.
