THE LAST TIME WE WORKED ONTHIS BUGGY, WE SPENT OUR

TIME BUILDING ALL OF OURBODY PANELS FOR THE RIG,

CUTTING UP SHEETS OFALUMINUM TO FIT OUR

CUSTOM DESIGN CHASSIS.

I WANT TO GET AS MANY OF THEMAJOR SYSTEMS MOUNTED ONTO

THE CHASSIS BEFOREFINISH WELDING IT.

THAT WAY IF THERE'S APROBLEM, I'M JUST MOVING

PARTS THAT ARE TACKWELDED IN PLACE.

NOW WE'RE GONNA START TODAYWITH OUR HYDRAULIC STEERING.

AND ON A ROCK BOUNCERHYDRAULIC STEERING

HAS A HUGE JOB TO DO.

NOW P-S-C STEERING HAS BUILTA ROCK BOUNCER SPECIFIC KIT,

AND IT HAS SOME KEYUPGRADES TO IT TO MAKE

OUR SYSTEM WORK BETTER.

IT STARTS RIGHT HERE AT THERESERVOIR WITH A LARGER

OUTLET TO ALLOW MORE FLUIDTO FLOW DOWN TO THE PUMP.

NOW FROM THAT PUMP OVERTO THE ORBITAL IS ANOTHER

OVERSIZED HOSE TO ALLOWMORE FLUID TO FLOW

THROUGH THE SYSTEM.

NOW THAT EXTRA AMOUNT OFFLUID HAS A LOT OF WORK TO

DO BECAUSE WE'RE MOVING HUGETIRES, USUALLY WHILE THEY'RE

SPINNING AT A HIGHRATE OF SPEED.

SO IT WORKS IN CONJUNCTIONWITH THIS TWO AND A HALF

INCH OVERSIZED HEAVYDUTY DOUBLE ENDED RAM.

IT'S LOCKED IN PLACE ONTHE FRONT AXLE WITH FOUR

MOUNTING CLAMPSFOR EXTRA STRENGTH.

NOW THE KEY ITEM THAT WE'REGONNA MOUNT ON OUR CHASSIS

RIGHT AWAY IS THE ORBITALVALVE, AND THE KIT COMES

WITH THIS PLATE TO DO IT.

BUT HOW WE MOUNT THE VALVEIS INCREDIBLY IMPORTANT.

THE VALVE BRACKET INDEXESOFF THE LOWER DASH BAR TUBE,

AND IT CAN BE MOUNTEDTWO DIFFERENT WAYS.

YOU NEED TO MOUNT THEBRACKET WITH THE FLAT FACE

THEY'RE MANY DIFFERENT WAYSTO MOUNT THE STEERING RAM

ONTO AN AXLE, BUT ON A ROCKBOUNCER IT NEEDS TO BE

PROTECTED BECAUSEOF HILLS LIKE THIS.

SO I AM GOING TO USE ANR-TECH INDUSTRIES AXLE RAM

SKID MOUNT SYSTEM TO HELPKEEP OUR STEERING RAM SAFE.

WITH THE ORBITAL VALVE INPLACE, THE NEXT ITEM WE WANT

TO BUILD INSIDE OUR CHASSISARE OUR SEAT MOUNTS.

NOW WHEN YOU THINK OF THEINTERIOR OF A HIGH END

ITALIAN SPORTS CAR, YOUUSUALLY THINK OF EXOTIC

MATERIALS LIKE CARBON FIBER,LEATHER, MAYBE EVEN SOME

OSTRICH SKIN, AND THAT ISEXACTLY WHAT I HAVE HERE.

THESE ARE P-R-P COMPETITIONHIGH BACK BUCKETS, AND

THEY'VE BEEN BUILT USING ACOMBINATION OF TAN INTERIOR

HARNESS SO YOU CAN BUCKLEYOURSELF IN NICE AND SAFE.

NOW P-R-P TOOK IT ONE STEPFURTHER AND THEY CREATED

WHAT'S CALLED A BASEBALLSTITCH ALL THE WAY AROUND.

THAT JUST REMOVES THE PIPINGFROM THE SEAT AND JUST GIVES

IT A MORE HIGH END LOOK,WHICH WILL GO PERFECT

WITH OUR LAMBORGHINITHEMED ROCK BOUNCER.

NOW WHEN THEY SHIP THESEATS, THEY SHIP THEM IN

THIS PLASTIC BAG TO PROTECTTHEM, AND I'M GONNA GO AHEAD

AND LEAVE THE BAG ON THISSEAT SO WHEN I BUILD THE

MOUNTS, I DON'TMAKE THE SEAT DIRTY.

FOR THE REAR SEATMOUNT I WILL MODIFY AN

EXISTING SEAT TAB.

FOR THE FRONT I WILLNEED TO MAKE MY OWN.

FIRST BY CREATING A TEMPLATEAND CUTTING IT OUT OF SOME

THREE-SIXTEENTHS STEEL.

A TUBE NEEDS TO BE ADDED FORTHE REAR INSIDE MOUNT TO

INDEX OFF THE CHASSIS.

IT'S ALWAYS HARDEST ON AROCK BOUNCER TO BUILD THE

SEAT MOUNTS ON THE SAME SIDEAS THE TRANSFER CASE DROP.

IN THIS BUGGY IT'SON THE DRIVER'S SIDE.

YOU NEED TO MAKE SURE THATTHERE'S PLENTY OF ROOM FOR

THE TRANSFER CASE OUTPUTAND DRIVESHAFT TO CLEAR THE

FRONT OF THE SEAT AND GODOWN TO THE FRONT AXLE.

THAT'S WHY I DIDN'T JUST RUNA TUBE ACROSS THE FRONT OF

THIS BUGGY FOR THESEFRONT MOUNTS TO MOUNT ON.

IT WOULD GET IN THE WAY.

NOW EVEN THOUGH I MADE THISNICE, TALL, SWEEPING BRACKET

OUT OF SOME GOOD THICKTHREE-SIXTEENTHS STEEL, IT'S

STILL NOT STRONG ENOUGHFOR A ROCK BOUNCER.

THAT'S WHY I'M GOING TO ADDTHIS GUSSET OFF THE SIDE OF

THE CHASSIS JUSTFOR EXTRA INSURANCE.

YOU PROBABLY ALSO NOTICEDTHAT I DID NOT BUILD A MOUNT

FOR THE FRONT INSIDE CORNEROF THE SEAT, AND THAT'S

BECAUSE IT'LL ACTUALLYBE MOUNTED RIGHT OFF THE

TRANSFER CASE ADAPTER WITHA SMALL BRACKET WHEN WE PUT

THIS BUGGY TOGETHERFOR THE LAST TIME.

THAT'S OKAY BECAUSE IF YOUREMEMBER OUR DRIVETRAIN IS

SOLID MOUNTED IN THIS RIG.

SO IT'S ESSENTIALLYPART OF THE CHASSIS.
