Ahmed Imamovic masterfully directs a 6 minute single-shot similar to the sequences in the dystopian science fiction film directed by Alfonso Cuarón, Children of Men.

This crazy creation of Duncan Brothers is a personal tribute to the inherent characteristics of sci-fi, crime, adventure and Asian extreme action films. It's hard to believe, that the story of paleontologist, Dr. Kagamura, who is provoked to participate in a drifting race with a member of a Korean gang to avenge the death of his brother, so brilliantly told through the perfect blend of fast cuts, trippy special effects and sophisticated camera moves, was made on a $100 budget and with an improvised dialog.

Three billion years ago, a microbe blasts off from his home planet propelled by a meteor impact and embarks on a journey across the Solar System. Eventually he tries to get back home, but heads in the wrong direction by mistake. Unable to ever return again, he has one last glimpse of home and a dreamy vision of what lies ahead for it.
The film juxtaposes the microscopic with the macroscopic, the personal with the epic, and explores issues of existence, the origin and destiny of life on Earth, and what its like to get a raw deal in a sometimes "too big" Universe.

This computer animated 35mm Cinemascope film was produced at the USC School of Cinema and Television. It was modeled and animated using Maya 2.5 and composited with Maya Composer. It was the first student film at USC to use RenderMan, the groundbreaking rendering software developed by Pixar. Digital editing was done with Adobe Premiere, while sound editing and mixing was done using ProTools.

Pierre, a Hole with a View is a live action short film about love, obsession and eternal longing for the unattainable, but it doesn't take itself as serious as all that. It follows the misadventures of a mouse who's made his home in the wall of an apartment and falls madly in love with the beautiful human girl who has just moved in. Will Pierre gain a return from her of his love and affection? Maybe he should start by getting her to notice him first.

The Grand Jury Prize winner at the South by SouthWest Film Festival's recent online "SXSWclick" event, the 35mm film also won an Audience Award for best short at the recent 2007 Seattle International Film Festival.
