Valentine's Day Kills Relationships

Valentine’s Day is usually a time filled with chocolates, flowers and romance. It is not the part of the year you’d expect relationships to die. But a new survey shows otherwise, revealing that couples most often break up around this time of year.

The survey, titled When Love Goes Wrong, was conducted online in Australia. Respondents included 470 Australians who had split from a relationship in the past five years.  The survey found that 19 percent of people who took part in the survey estimated that “once a marriage was over, it cost more than $65,000 to start a new life.”

Guys usually break up with their girlfriends around Valentine’s Day because they are too cheap to dole out money for flowers, a gift and dinner. Now it looks like it’s cheaper to stay together.
