None of these guys will be stars. My opinion is that none of these fighters will ever amount to anything. Just like last season. I mean look what happened to Tommy Spear. He got thumped. Where is Dana White and Jose Silvia finding these chumps? Like last years finale winner Mac Danzig. He's not exciting to watch. And as soon as he takes on one of the top-ranked contenders he'll get drilled. Mark my words. It is also my opinion that most of the guys that end up on the show are not true warriors at heart. They are posers who just want their face showed on TV. And there are so many fighters signed with the UFC now you have to watch a whole lot of bullshit to see one good fight. I wish Dana White and the producers of the UFC would upgrade their standards of who gets to fight to the most exciting and explosive fighters. We wan't to see action, and knockout power. Not to take anything from wrestling, as I am a former all-state wrestler, but I don't wan't to see Tito Ortiz keep somebody on their back for three rounds, unless he's going to break their neck with a slam. Also we wan't to see all the champs in their weight-class fight the champs in different weight-classes. Even if it's got to be held on an Indian reservation where there are no sanctioning rules. That's what the UFC started as, and is the whole foundation of martial arts. To prepare to protect yourself against anybody. Not protect yourself against anybody the same size as yourself. We wan't to see David vs Goliath. I mean if Bruce Lee was alive and in his prime, we'd wan't to know if he was the toughest man alive. Not if he was the toughest man alive in the 130 lb. weight division.

Dude lay off the crack.... Rules are in place so people don't get seriously hurt or killed. If that happens, The UFC will be banned in many of the states it currently is held in (you forgot to mention that, when you were talking about "back in the day"). They have worked there way up to respectable in most of the public eye and they are making money hand over fist ( which is what they really want to do). I agree though, that most of these guys are chumps but don't forget that alot of the "exciting " ufc fighters are from TUFF. I.E. Forrest Griffin, Michael Bispeng, Matt Hammill, Ken Flo, Rashad Evans, to name a few.
