The Countdown to UFC 102

The Nifty 50

We've already made it half way there and we've relived some amazing fights along the way. From the very first UFC with a scrappy Brazilian all the way up to contemporary classics like Penn vs. St-Pierre II, the Ultimate 100 is shaping up nicely but there are still 50 fights left and we barely touched on "The Natural's" rise to immortality or Anderson Silva's bloody reign over an unsuspecting kingdom. Catch a tiny, little taste after the jump.

There will be Ultimate Fighters and ultimate champions still ahead, so tune in tonight at 9 for another 20 on the countdown where you'll see rivalries boil over, ice-cold missions of revenge and a little evil stifling a young gun's rise to power.

Top 100 fights, what a joke. It should be called top 100 fights from fighters in the video game that the UFC can promote.

Where's Frank Shamrock, Dan Severn, Mo Smith, Bas Rutten, Pat Miletich? Why only Tito fights that he lost?

*B/C they are on the outs with the UFC. Only 7 fights listed from UFC 1 to 31? Come on!

You cant promote tito he never beat anyone, evan tanner was his only respectable win, the fight against forrest was a bs decision (open top debate), and ken shamrock after not fighting for many years but wwe which how could he really fight again after fake fighting for so long....however i do agree this countdown doesnt show the true face of great fights just merely fights of their top starts, headliners in first round knockouts which they sjhould ve won dont count as a great fight to me where are all the wars??????????? the undercards to many pay per veiws have in majority, especially as of late, shown to be the best fights to watch

No the reason Tito is never shown winning is because Dana White hates him. And thats because Tito knows the business side of it and knows he was getting screwed. Apparently in the UFC if you speak up you get screwed. If you listen to Dana as he is talking about the fights its always one sided no matter what actually happened, especially against one of his favorites Chuck Liddel. Oh no Tito never got poked in the eye in the first fight. If you listen to Joe Rogan talk about it is a lot more legitamate. But i do agree with you guys on them only promoting the main fighters that will be able to fight soon or are in the video game. This list wasn't voted on by the viewers it was constucted by Dana White and he wasn't letting anything in that he didn't want. He is such a child. Hopefully soon he grows up and learns that his fighters do have rights and are not just at his mercy.

cripple695 looks like u got a man crush on tito there. the reason tito isnt shown winning is because he never got a win against a worthy opponent and there is a reason Dana White hates him so much. Not because he's a loudmouth (which he is), it's because tito challenged Dana to a fight where Dana agreed, spent 8 months training and getting permission from the board to allow the fight (you need some kind of document saying both fighters are capable of defending them selves adequetly in the ring). Come fight day Tito doesnt even show up! Wouldnt u be mad if u trained for 8 months and ur opponent blew u off?
