Miami Dolphins
The Miami Dolphins joined the league in 1966 and are the oldest major-league professional sports franchise in the state of Florida. They won their first Super Bowl in 1972 after completing a perfect season – the only team in the history of the NFL to do so. The warm Florida weather is the perfect element for cheerleaders. These sun-kissed ladies are a delight to watch.
New England Patriots
Originally named the Boston Patriots, the New England Patriots changed their name in 1971 after relocating to a suburb 22 miles outside of Boston. The colder weather means the Pat’s cheerleaders sometime need to wear more that a skimpy two piece. However, when a team’s hot, the cheerleaders are even hotter.
Dallas Cowboys
The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders are one of the most famous cheerleading organizations in the world. In the early 1970s Cowboy’s manager Tex Schramm hired attractive girls who could dance to boost attendance. He made cheerleading a spectacle in itself. In 1970 a made-for-TV movie called The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders aired, capturing 48% of the national television audience. These girls know what it takes to be a star.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Bucs lost all 14 games of their opening season in 1976. In 2002 they won their first Super Bowl. The Bucs' cheerleaders were originally called the “Swash-Buc-Lers”, however in 1999 they were renamed the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Cheerleaders. These pirate ladies will steal your heart.
Indianapolis Colts
The Colts were the first NFL team to have an organized cheerleading squad back in the Baltimore days. These wholesome Midwestern girls are all about team spirit. Who knows what they are doing on that boat – but this is one squad I’d like to take a cruise with.
Denver Broncos
Denver has reached the Super Bowl 6 times in their 40-year history. The girls in orange resemble sexy Western girls who look ready to ride a horse or shake their pompoms to victory. These girls will bring out your inner wild stallion.
New York Jets
The New York Jet’s cheerleaders are known as the Flight Crew. Started in 2007 the girls in green and white are no flight of fancy and have taken Jet’s team spirit miles high.
