Riding cross country, if any MMA fans want to meet up.

DOES ANYONE HAVE THIS HELMET?

I'm familiar with the website. I researched it before I made this post. The company that makes it went out of business. I need to find an individual that happens to have one they're willing to sell.

I've let the room get a little messy. Storage containers full of books, boxes of Team Tanner and Warrior shirts, piles of clothes, pieces of work out gear, and other random items cover most of the floor. Temporary shelves full of books and office supplies line the walls. A stack of framed pictures sits in the corner. There is a clear space along the north wall where I've thrown a futon mattress on the floor. This is the room in which I've been sleeping for most of these last eight months, the single bedroom in an apartment on the west side of Vegas. The rest of the apartment is empty except for an old futon in the living room, and a TV. I have been comfortable here. It has served it's purpose well. It's been nothing more than a place to eat, sleep, wash, and rest. Ironically, Vegas is the city I in which I chose to make my stand when I decided to leave behind some destructive habits, and change my life, make a new life. I settled in Vegas last October. I was on the road for a year and a half straight, before that. The story of those destructive habits, and that time on the road has been well documented in past blogs. I won't go into it any further here.

I sit here leaning against the wall, the computer on my lap, as I write this, my eyes wandering around the room, wondering when I'll be seeing it again, knowing that I'm am leaving tomorrow, for how long I don't know. My gypsy blood has been stirring. My bike is waiting for me down in the garage, and I'm ready to go. I have traveled most of my adult life. The road has always called to me.

As I said, I've been here for just over eight months. It's been hard for me to be in one place for so long. It isn't natural to me. The thought of leaving tomorrow makes me smile and the excitement keeps me from sleeping.

I had been planning a motorcycle ride after the fight for some time now. I had no particular destination in mind, no schedule, no itinerary, no plans other than to point the front wheel to edge of town and just go. That was until yesterday when I remembered I have a good friend up in Oregon who is a doctor. I'm confident he can help me get myself right. Oregon is now my eventual destination.

Tomorrow though, I leave Vegas and head towards Chino California. There is a particular helmet I am looking for, and the only shop I coul find that carries my size on the West Coast, is in Chino. It's not the helmet pictured above and below, but it will do for now.

I'm scheduled to lead a ride in Minnesota, later in July. It looks like I might be on the road until then. I was thinking about it yesterday. I'm going to be bouncing around all over the country. Why not make a tour of it, and meet up with as many MMA fans as I can while I'm on the road? So if any fight fans in California want to meet up for lunch or something as I pass through California the next few days, drop me a comment here, and I'll try to hook up. Maybe we could just make this ride into an MMA fan appreciation tour. I'm down with that. I wouldn't mind doing some riding and meeting some good people.

One last thing. Does anyone happen to have this helmet in a size L or XL? If you do, I'll buy it from you. They don't make this one anymore, and I need it. It's a Graphic Finish DOT NEXL NXT Carbon Half Helmet "Stars n' Stripes

We need a modern day Easy Rider. Consider me available.
