Nurses in the Czech Republic will receive a raise, not in wages but in bust size, if they sign up for a new job in a Prague hospital.
The Iscare clinic in Czech capital is so desperate to recruit and keep doctors and nurses that it is offering free breast enlargements, face-lifts, and tummy-tucks to new employees who sign a three year contract with the clinic.
Petra Kalivodova, a 31-year-old nurse, recently took up the offer of free breast implants. The cost of the implants was nearly three times her monthly salary:
I would rather have plastic surgery than a free car. I feel better when I look in the mirror. We were always taught that if a nurse is nice, intelligent, loves her work and looks attractive, then patients will recover faster.
