Take a closer look at the full photo gallery from The Dark Knight including all the new posters that were just released and all the production stills. The gallery and new trailer provide some insight into the highly anticipated release of new Batman film this summer.
Two things leapt out at me at first glance of the trailer. The first is the large panoramic shots of Gotham that are a Chris Nolan specialty. Then we have a classic Batman storyline our hero against seemingly insurmountable odds. In this case. Heath Ledger's Joker, seems to be marshalling forces from Gotham's underbelly. Nolan seems to be setting up his film around the classic "The center cannot hold" idea.
It's the control/oversight of Batman vs. the anarchy of the Joker.
There's a great exchange in the trailer, which really sums up the Joker's strategy:
"A year ago, these cops and lawyers wouldn't dare cross any of you," The Joker intones
"...So what are you proposing?" replies a crime lord.
"It's simple: Kill the Batman,"
That's just great.
Now let's check out one of the new posters just released:

"Welcome to a world without rules". Indeed.
Finally, we can't go any further without mentioning goodl ol' Harvey Dent. Most know that Aaron Eckhart's character will eventually turn into the villain, Two-Face. And this is also alluded to both visually (check out the one-sheet in which Harvey's button portrayal is very "coin" like, no? In the trailer we get this key line from Dent:
"You either die the hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain,"
Hm.
That's pretty ominous, no?
Anyway, below is the bootleg trailer that's been floating around all over the net and by the reaction of the crowd, I’m definitely not the only person super excited to see this film.
