Michael Jackson's Memorial Service Will Cost You $25

Numerous sources are reporting that diehard followers who wish to attend Michael Jackson's star-studded memorial service at Staples Center will have to dish out $25 to get their very own seat at the historic event.
Even though there hasn’t been an official confirmation, both Radar and Showbiz 411 are reporting that the Michael Jackson funeral is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 7TH, at Los Angeles’ Staples Center. Both sources have said that AEG Live, who owns the next-door neighbor Nokia Theatre as well, will use both facilities and the surrounding plaza for the MJ extravaganza.

Radar has also stated that family, friends and VIPS will have seats on the main floor for the Staples service, while the general public will be throwing down $25 to sit up in the stands:

Michael Jackson's close friend Elizabeth Taylor is expected to attend, along with Diana Ross. The memorial service will feel like a concert production featuring guest speakers, a lot of music, and video screens inside and outside of Staples, a source close to the planning tells RadarOnline.com.

The service is supposedly set to be held between 10am and noon PST.

I’m in, son!

UPDATE:

TMZ has now reported that Michael Jackson's private family service will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday at Forest Lawn in Los Angeles. They also confirmed that the motorcade will then go to the Staples Center complex in downtown Los Angeles where the public memorial will be held. TMZ was told that the family still hasn't decided whether the memorial will be at the Staples Center or Nokia Theatre.

UPDATE:

TMZ has confirmed that a lottery has been set up for fans to obtain free tickets to MJ's memorial service on Tuesday and they can sign up for the random drawing on the Staples Center website. 17,500 tickets are available for the event , 11,000 for Staples and 6,500 for Nokia, which will be given out 2 per person. If you are one of the 8,750 people selected, you will then be alerted on Sunday with further instructions.

It's worth every penny --- and if it helps repay his outstanding debt which the London concert series was designed to do --- that's just fine.

Michael Jackson's memorial service will take place Tuesday in the Staples Center, the 20,000-seat Los Angeles coliseum where the singer rehearsed the night before he died, according to a person briefed by a family representative. Since the stadium can't contain the millions that would like to pay their respects to the late King of Pop, a lottery for Michael Jackson funeral tickets has already been started. Each person that enters for Michael Jackson funeral tickets can only receive up to two tickets for the public memorial. The fate of his assets and child custody are still a hotly contested topic. Toxicology reports from the autopsy are still pending. Scalpers will no doubt start soliciting cash advances for Michael Jackson funeral tickets, as such is the parasitic nature of some people.
