UFC

The End of Jesse Taylor!

Never before in the seven seasons of The Ultimate Fighter has a fighter been kicked off after the show was over. Until now.

We've all done dumb crap in our day, but Jesse Taylor struck the mother-crap-load. And he should have known better than to do it in Vegas. Dana's town, Dana's UFC, Dana's rules. As far as Jesse is concerned, the sun rises and sets on Dana White's command. Welcome to the Ice Age, Mr. Taylor -- you're excused.

Check out this exclusive extended clip from the show, where Dana shows Forrest and Rampage the security footage of Jesse's wild night and informs them of his removal.

Dana you did this kid a true injustice. You push all these guys to the brink and JT wasn't able to pull back, he needed a life coach as much as a fight coach. I love this sport but after the way things turned out at the end it almost smells of WWE.

No way! Dana had every right to do what he did. You dont see any of the other fighters running around destroying shit outside of the show it just doesn't. What kind of message is JT sending to people when he pulls this kind of crap. I fully support Dana's decision, and maybe JT will learn a lesson from this, and maybe get to come back.

The decision to bring back CB was B.S.!! Amir beat him and should not have to face him again! They should have brought back the two top guys that Amir never fought (Tim and someone else). They only brought back CB because UFC wanted the best championship fight, not the fairest fight. CB wants revenge...Amir wants to show the world the first win over CB was no joke, Forest's guy Vs. Rampage's guy.....blah, blah, blah!! A great story line but I guess ratings are more important than integrity. I have been a huge fan of the UFC but they are giving me less of a reason to be such a strong fan.....Contract issues with stars, quality of pay per view cards keep dropping, less free stuff on TV. I'm waiting for Dana White to bring in Don King and have 1 or 2 good fights a card with controversy in the decisions.

Given that such a situation has never occured before on TUF, I thought that Mr. White and Co. did an excellent job. Jesse Taylor was not able to conduct himself in an appropriate manner, and this was shown on more than one occasion. CB Dolloway and Tim Credeur coming back was a logical choice, they did make it to the semi-finals. They were the runner-ups. I look forward to the Finale with much enthusiasm. I personally will be rooting for Amir, who lets his talent do the talking, as opposed to running his mouth.

I usually agree with Dana and the UFC for the most part, but what the hell? The guy made a mistake! You can't kick him off the show in the finals! He was the best fighter on the show. So he kicked in a limo window and drank too much so you are going to take something away he has worked for his whole life? If the UFC never brings this guy back, I am going to loose a ton of respect for them.

Dana is so full of sh*t !!!!! It's all about setting the finale the way Dana wanted it. So glad Dana has never done anything wrong. Dana sounded like a girl saying and then he did this and then he did that blah, blah Why didn't he just say what he meant , like listen Rampage and Forest, I don't like the final match and I found the perfect excuse to change it !!!

I hear alot of bashing of Dana White, which is very surprising to me considering he and zuffa have taken the UFC from basically nothing to probably the world leader in MMA. I am a fighter myself, and didnt become involved in MMA until watching the UFC as a kid when the only real chance you had to watch it is if you rented the fights from blockbuster or where ever...

I actually admire Dana White for insisting fighters behave, i mean sure we are human, and i am far from a saint, but i also know that fighting is my job, well one of my jobs, and if you think you can get drunk and act stupid at any other job thats just ridiculous, you would get fired... period.

Dana, if you read this, i just want to say you made a good choice in getting rid of JT and if i ever get a chance to travel to an ultimate fighter screening I will be there, and i will not take for granted any opportunity given to me. If not, just know I will still watch and enjoy every minute of a good fight. Keep up the good work and ignore anyone that says otherwise.

p.s. Try and get Kimbo Slice in the ring with Rampage or Chuck, i think that would be a great fight... Oh yeah, and go Forrest!!!!!!!

Mr. White, I¿ve been a martial arts for 24 years and I know what it takes and I do understand why it was necessary for JT to be disqualified. For those whom don¿t understand and those whom have forgotten this why. At the end of the first generation UFC wasn¿t a good time for the sport. The perception of the UFC was that it was a tuff man compition. That it was a form of man type of a cock fight. Many thought of it as an example of a barbaric and undisciplined sport. That participants are brutes that enjoy beating the pulp out of each other. So it was on the verge of being nonexistent if not illegal. The UFC was not allowed to be even on pay per view. A good example was the farce that was put on CBS with their MMA.

Then Mr. White and the new owners came along with a vision ideas that turned the UFC around. Now we have a sport of highly trained, highly disciplined athletes of whom are now role models. The conduct that JT showed was non respective to those who have worked so hard battling up hill making this an outstanding sport of hand to hand combat.

In this age of misconduct and scandals in other sports like the NFL, MLB, and the latest the NBA. So my hat is off to you Dana for taking a stand and saying not in the UFC you won¿t. If you want to be in the UFC you will be a proper representative to the sport. Thank you

It was a blatant ratings scam and Jesse was the sacrificial lamb. Dana White saw the opportunity to A) make a behavioral example out of Jesse, B) make the "most shocking (and marketable) final episode ever", C) put two guys into the ring who will stand up the whole time. Dana doesn't like ground and pound fighters and Jesse is fantastic at it. If he really thought that the incident was so bad for the UFC image, he wouldn't have produced a 90 minute episode emphasizing it.

UFC Fighters have acted a lot worse than Jesse both in public AND in the house and have gotten away with it professionally. At least Jesse is a good guy who treats the other people around him well. Look at Jon Koppenhaver, Bobby Southworth- even Koscheck was a piece of s#*@ to the people around him.

The speech that Dana White gave to Jesse was the lamest thing ever. 'Vegas is HIS town?' Ha- have him say that to Wynn, Trump or the Maloofs. 'Jesse has serious mental issues?' He got blacked out drunk in Vegas celebrating after being encouraged to get drunk and smash up a house for a few weeks. Are inappropriate drunks an anomaly in Vegas?

Its a shame that the best fighter on the show wont be able to demonstrate that he is.

FYI - According to the radio (91x - San Diego) this morning, the night that Jesse kicked out the limo window, the TUF guys were hanging out with Tito Ortiz and his crew and they instigated Jesse into being wild after seeing how drunk he was.

If White and Co are reading these comments... someone mentioned Don King. I agree.

My hubby and I are NOT buying PPV ufc fights anymore because of the quality. The Ultimate Fighter shows are getting pretty boring too. Anyway, we're more interested in WEC 'cuz their fights are getting much better, not to mention that Mir makes Joe Rogan and that other idiot look, well, like idiots.

Re: the Jesse thing... There's obviously something else going on. Don't know exactly. ShainD's comments made the most sense. If it quacks like a duck...

I think Dana White did the right thing because :

    1. Jesse Taylor did know he had the fight and he made the choice to test Dana White's limits.

    2. Jesse Taylor was warned and told there would be consequences for unruly and stupid decisions.

    3. Jesse Taylor is not a child, Jesse needed to make a good name for himself but he did something that could have ruined his career.

Jesse Taylor was doing what he wanted to do but he should have made a better decision. I think he is a good person but when the alcohol and ignorance of what was going on gave him a hard time to do the right thing.

This is such BS, JT is my new favorite UFC fighter and I guess Tito was right Dana is a complete tool. How do you take away what someone earnes over his actions outside of the sport. Whatever JT is the true winner of this season he would have man handles amir, and they better bring him back into the UFC or I am not watching thier $80 payperviews anymore!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dana you messed up more than JT did your the idiot!

I love the UFC and have for many many years. However, I've got to say that the punishment of Jesse was completely improper. Dana, your are the best in the business but I think that it kind of stinks that, when its good for viewership, it is fine to behave wildly..i.e. on the show they get pumped full of booze and put on a show for the cameras. But when the show is over, you hold them to a different standard. Dana, you should have talked to him BEFORE this. You should have put a stop to that behavior much earlier. I don't think its fair to encourage one kind of behavior then punish them for it later. You should have been their life coach and helped them make the transition into stardom. He's learned his lesson and should get a second chance!

Dana might be the UFC but he's not vegas And even if the UFC is vegas, We, The fans make the UFC what it is and We want Jesse Taylor. Dana didn't like Rasheed Evans either, and now if Rasheed was fighting millions of people would be glued to the TV. WTF do you think would happen if Jesse Taylor was fighting, the same thing. If I had Zuffa backing me i'd Kick Dana out of the f-ing country. Money is Power and Karma's a bitch.

Almost everyone here is ignoring the fact that he acted like a lunatic. Bordering on criminal behavior. What do you think would happen if some private citizen went around getting drunk, kicking out windows, and harassing girls at a bar? Either get his ass kicked and throw in jail or at least arrested. Jesse has wrestling talent, we all agree. But he does not have well rounded skills like a MMA fighter should. Guys like Anderson Silva and Georges Saint Pierre are the real MMA fighters of the world, and Jesse Taylor doesn't even come close to having that much ability or potential. Anyone who's watched the sport, not just the UFC, knows I'm right. A wrestler with heart can take you down over and over and pound on you, but that shit just doesn't cut it when you get to the highest level. That wouldn't cut it in a street fight either where there's no referee and no rules. Jesse needs to go and train striking and submissions and possibly see a psychiatrist. I mean come on guys, he pissed his pants on national TV TWICE not to mention the crap he pulled to get his ass kicked out of TUF finale. You sound like a bunch of uneducated kids saying that he's a true fighter and you want to see him again. If I see his face on any Spike UFC event or UFC PPV it will make me sick. I would go as far as making a petition and having tons of people sign it and send it to the UFC management to make them understand that fighters like Jesse DO NOT belong in MMA. The UFC and other organizations have worked hard to overcome the stereotype that MMA is just a brutal human-cockfight spectacle. It's now considered a sport and well should be, and guys like Jesse Taylor are tarnishing the name of the entire sport. I hope he gives up on MMA and just becomes some low-life nobody working in a factory somewhere.

WTF is a private citizen? What if Randy couture was like , "Oh i'm just a wrestler, I should just give up on MMA"? I've seen G.S.P.'s first MMa fight, not that impressive. Where are you supossed to start? Every fighter who isn't on Anderson silva's level should just Quit, sounds like a hater to me.
