Apocalypse Alert: David Hasselhoff to Perform at Berlin Wall Anniversary

As if this world didn’t need any more heartache, it is being reported that Baywatch legend David Hasselhoff will being showing off his vocal chops for the anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall.

Twenty years after singing at the historic event, The Hoff is ready to remember the fall of the Wall by making German ears bleed once more.

Hasselhoff broke out “Looking for Freedom” at a concert after the Berlin Wall was brought down in 1989 and apparently German fans went pretty apes*** over this pop trainwreck. Bryan Adams, Sinead O'Connor, Joni Mitchell, and Van Morrison were among the artists joining Hasselhoff at the Potsdamer Platz concert. Now the aging star is set to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the momentous happening with an encore performance.

He tells People, "I sang to a million people there in 1989. I sang "Looking for Freedom" the night the Wall came down. I'm going back this year." He adds, "When I was over in Germany, I played to the German markets and it was all pop. I have done Broadway, the West End, Vegas, (musicals) Chicago, and The Producers. I decided to do something I wanted to do and that's Rat Pack. I love the Rat Pack."

This guy is an unbelievable jackass. Go to Vegas if you want to cover the Rat Pack. Performing songs like “Fly Me to the Moon” for the anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall sounds pretty asinine if you ask me. At least "Looking for Freedom" had the right idea behind it.

Rebuilding the Wall to protect Germany from The Hoff might not be a bad idea.
